The Cost-Benefit Analysis of Showering While Under Attack
The cost-benefit analysis of showering while under attack:
Benefits: I smell pretty bad from running around finding alternate meaningful things to do with my time since I can’t be in the South. And, running into bomb shelters. A shower would really calm me down, and I could really use one (the people around me would probably enjoy that too).
Costs: If I want to shower, then I need to bring my towel and my clothes with me, ready to put them on if I need to, or face the consequences of an awkward ten minutes in a bomb shelter naked. This is all assuming I can hear the siren from the shower. Might need to leave the door open, inform someone, bring a friend. If another siren goes off, I run, get smelly again, and start over.
