The destruction of Khan Al Ahmar is a good start

The illegal Arab village of Khan Al Ahmar is the anti-Israel left’s latest casus belli.

The Background

Khan al-Ahmar is a Bedouin encampment that was erected at some point in the 1990s on land belonging to the Israeli town of Kfar Adumim, east of Jerusalem. The outpost’s population is approximately one-hundred and seventy. With the help of foreign governments, the community has expanded in recent years.

The village is slated for demolition as early as this week and was offered to dismantle the camp themselves or face forceful demolition. Locals have opposed the state’s plan to relocate them near Abu Dis, as well as another proposal that would have moved them to a site east of the Mitzpe Jericho settlement.

Jewish activists demand equality under the law at Khan Al Ahmar

The hypocrisy

If Khan Al Ahmar was called Netiv Ha-avot and was populated by Jewish Israelis rather than Arab muslims. None of the self proclaiming ‘human rights activists’ would bat an eyelash. Not, B’tzelem, not Amnesty International or any other NGO who has adopted Khan Al ahmar as their latest cause

But for some reason, anytime Arab squatters violate Israeli law, the extreme left discharges their deep pockets to do whatever it takes to stop the Israeli government from enforcing the law. This could mean bogging down the Supreme Court with injunctions while blasting highly sophisticated one sided PR campaigns.

Unfortunately for the good guys, the side that tells the truth doesn’t get millions of dollars in funding from tycoons like George Soros and the Ford foundation as anti-Israel NGOs do. And even if they did, most left leaning mainstream media outlets would rather not cover it.

The solution

The best way to curb illegal Arab land grabs in Judea and Samaria is to bar any European Union representative from entering or funneling money into that area. That’s because according to Regavim, the EU is building hundreds of illegal structures in Judea and Samaria, which Israel hasn’t removed to avoid a diplomatic row with the Europeans, according to the NGO’s report. This activity is nothing less than a soft war launched by the EU. That’s because the goal of wars is to conquer land. And what the Arabs failed to do in various wars with Israel, the EU is helping them finish the job. They’re doing this by funding and erecting towns that are trespassing on Israeli soil.

The bottom line

Khan Al Ahmar needs to be dismantled immediately. Arab land thieves need to learn that tresspassing and land grabbing will not be rewarded. If they need a place to resettle, they should set up camp in Area A, which is under full control of the Palestinian Authority, especially since the PA occupies the vast majority of Judea and Samaria. Surely they can find an empty lot to set up shop and receive far better treatment than they do from ‘evil’ Israel. And if you think that the Israeli government doesn’t have the legal authority to demolish homes in Judea and Samaria, you must then be just as outraged by the destruction of Netiv Ha-avot and Amona.
