The Devil, GMOs, the Tower of Babel and Worldly Power

First, I am happy to contribute again at the Times of Israel Blog, as I have had to pause my writing for over a year to care for my elderly parents. They continue to need my daily help, but the needs are no longer as intense.

Now to the topic.

The Bible teaches us that Yahweh is the Creator of everything and as He fashioned each creation, He proclaimed that it was good. Declaring creation as good necessarily includes the inherent existence of evil. Humans, created in the image of God, were banned from Eden—where Adam and Eve lived with God—after they ate the forbidden fruit which gave them knowledge of good and evil. This act caused the entire earth to enter a fallen state which introduced death and decay. For that reason, we must choose wisely how we live to reconcile and live with God again.

In the Hebrew Scriptures (OT), Satan is introduced. His role and who he is, is crystallized in the New Testament. The Devil is a name translated from the Greek word “diabolos” meaning “adversary.” The Hebrew name Satan (transliterated in the NT) and the name Devil both mean the “accuser” and “slanderer.” His core mission is to promote everything that is counterfeit to God, get us to accept it, and then accuse us before God. He undermines our confidence in God in a variety of ways, so that we doubt, lose faith or just believe lies, and then use our free will to do what is contrary to God’s will. His goal is to destroy God’s creation and separate us from Him and the ability to live with Him eternally. The Devil is active on earth, but his power is limited. He cannot create anything, all he can do is imitate, manipulate and lie. He is the false image of true power. Jesus calls him the “father of lies” and “murderer from the beginning” (Gospel of John 8:44). This battle has been going on since our expulsion from Eden, and it is now intensifying on a level unprecedented in human history.

One of the core ways humans are tempted is the lure to become more prosperous and god-like, the way Adam and Eve were. We see this repeated when Jesus was tempted in the desert, where the devil offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and glory if he bowed down to worship him (Matthew 4:8-9).

A repeated theme of how the Devil uses humans is exemplified in the tower of Babel. After the great flood wiped out most humans, the sons of Noah—Shem, Ham and Japheth—repopulated the earth. The Bible tells us that at that time, humans all spoke “the same language and the same words” (Gen. 11:1 NAS). In fact, Genesis 11:1-9 is by all indications an insert that should come right before chapter 10. This is due to a break in the chronological order because—first—all spoke one language (Genesis 11:1-9) and—then—the descendants of Noah dispersed and developed their own tongues, families and nations (Genesis chapter 10).

To substantiate this, Genesis 8:4 tells us how Noah’s Ark settled on the “mountains of Ararat.” It does not specify which mountain and when the story is continued in Genesis 11:2 which tells of what happened before they dispersed, it says that they journeyed east and found a plain in the land of Shinar (Babylon) where they settled (Gen. 11:2 NAS). Babylon is directly south of Mount Ararat but the ancient kingdom of Urartu/Ararat, later Armenia, was a region that stretched westward and this whole northern area is mountainous. Hence, if Noah’s Ark landed west-ward on this mountain-chain and they “journeyed east”—as Genesis 11:2 describes–and south, it would land them in Babylon.

The kingdom of Babel, and three other kingdoms in Shinar, first belonged to Nimrod whose father was Cush, the son of Ham. So, after the sons of Noah had journeyed east, Babel became Nimrod’s kingdom. He was known to be a mighty one on earth and a mighty hunter before Yahweh (Gen. 10:8-9). Perhaps he was the inspiration for the people of Babel then saying, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth” (Gen. 11:4 NAS). They obviously knew the power of coming together to build the tower.

Reaching into heaven most likely signifies trying to achieve God-like powers that rightfully belong to God alone. At the least, it means a display of power where fame usually follows. This is the opposite of worshiping God and serving His will.

In response to the people of Babel, God said “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them” (Gen. 11:6 NAS). God then came down from the heavenly realm, confused their language and scattered them over the earth to stop their plans.

The Bible states that God called this place Babel because he confounded their language. The modern word “babble,” as in someone babbling incomprehensible nonsense, derives from the tower of Babel signifying a language you do not understand. God confounded their language because their intentions were evil. He named it only after this event and the name thus also implies evil, and specifically a worldly desire for power and fame divorced from God.

The name Babel is a variation of the name “Babylon”—the city that symbolizes evil in the Book of Revelation. In Revelation 16:19 it says, “The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered great Babylon, to make her drain the cup of the fury of his wrath” (Rev. 16:19 RSV. See also 14:8, 17:5, 18:2, 10, 21).”

The Bible uses figurative language when describing the city of Babylon as a woman who: sits on a “scarlet” colored beast, is clothed in “purple and scarlet,” adorned with “gold,” “precious stones,” “pearls” and holding a “gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality” (Rev. 17:4 NAS). In other words, this is a seat of immense power and overwhelming immorality. These objects and colors of purple and scarlet signified royalty and divinity. For instance, the tabernacle built for Yahweh during the exodus had purple and scarlet on the tent curtains, the veil, the screen for the doorway, the vestments for the priesthood and so on. In this way, the woman in the city of Babylon is dressed in attire that suggests divine powers and riches because she wanted to be like God, imitate Him, and have power like God, and in this way mislead and deceive people. In other words, the Devil presents as a counterfeit.

An example of humans today reaching into the heavens like the building of the tower of Babel and perverting God’s creation is the act of genetically modifying organisms. It is done to achieve all sorts of results that are justified under the guise of benefitting society while also making the producers rich. However, the original genome is the blueprint for how we function. Recombination of the genetic code is a natural process in sexual reproduction but now scientists manipulate it in labs. Here is where we enter a theological and ethical realm because this is a profound corruption of God’s creation. Humans have limited knowledge, and no scientist has any clue about the long-term effects of what they do now in this area—no matter what they say.

The central feature of GMOs is that it alters the design of God’s creation. Humans have done selective breeding with animals, plants, crops and so forth for millennia but to artificially modify the genetic code is new. The first genetically modified organism was created in 1973 and since then it has expanded drastically. GMOs mix species in a way that can never be done in selective breeding where you cannot, for example, do cross-species. GMOs produce an instant result while selective breeding happens over time. In GMOs a scientist combines the genes in a lab and in mixed breeding the genes do the mixing on their own.

GMOs are therefore unnatural, and scientists are playing a dangerous game with creation as they now genetically alter animals, plants, food, microbes, insects and even viruses (gain of function/CV19). In Genesis, God created different species who are distinct who do not interbreed with the exemption of rare occasions like a donkey and horse, creating a mule, but then the mule becomes infertile. The Bible outlaws several sexual practices and among those is bestiality. Yet, both human and animal genes are now mixed in labs to engineer certain outcomes. We have, among other results, humanized mice. They excuse this by claiming it will help people, end disease in much the same way that the devil disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

All of creation, the land, the animals, the insects and so forth have no say in genetic modification being done to them and corporations and governments act as if they own all living beings and organisms that they alter on a base level. We do not and God has never given permission for this. To “rule” in Genesis 1:28 in reference to humans over every living creature, does not mean you have the right to abuse them. For instance, the word: “dominion/rule” (radah), is also used in Leviticus where it reads “’You shall not rule over him with severity, but are to revere your God” (Lev. 25:43 NAS). Likewise, in another passage with this word it says, “you shall not rule with severity over one another” (Lev. 25:46 NAS). Additionally, Leviticus 19:19 and Deuteronomy 22:9 specifically prohibits mixing seeds and breeds. How much less then, should you interfere with DNA.

Genetic modification is now a game for the elites. As Bob Dylan put it in his song Masters of War, “you play with my world like it’s your little toy.” You do not have to be a believer in God to understand that there should be strong limits to what people can do to the natural world and that it does not belong to those who master a certain technology.

This is highly relevant today as the leaders of the world together with the most powerful corporate giants in the pharmaceutical industry have unleashed the experimental covid shot on more than half of the world’s population. In most of the western world they have mandated it for people to be able to work, travel and so forth. Aside from the fact that it is a violation of the most basic human rights, and the Nuremberg code, most covid shots use the mRNA technology that is intertwined with DNA, which has never been used in an injection to create immunity in people before. According to Britannica mRNA is a “molecule in cells that carries codes from the DNA in the nucleus to the sites of protein synthesis in the cytoplasm (the ribosomes).” They go on to say, “Because information in DNA cannot be decoded directly into proteins, it is first transcribed, or copied, into mRNA.”

All the people advocating for this shot deny that it enters the nucleus in humans. But, many world experts who are critical of this injection are silenced because they warn of its dangers and say that it does change the human genome (see for example  Renowned Cardiologist: mRNA Vaccines May be “Changing the Human Genome” – The New American).

It is unacceptable to censor those who question, disagree, and show evidence for harm, and even genetic changes due to this experimental shot given, and mandated, on this many people. It sets us on an unprecedented dangerous course. For starters, no human should be coerced in any way to take any injection or medicine of any kind. Every person also has the right to informed consent, which has not been given to anyone in this case. Censorship nearly always stems from nefarious motives. Otherwise, everyone would be allowed to hear all sides of a debate to be able to make up their own minds. Instead, they want to think and decide for the rest of us and in that way rule over us.

Free will is an essential part of God’s creation. Adam and Eve were able to disobey God because of free will. Reaping the consequences is a result of it. God is love and love cannot exist without free will as it must be a choice, which is why God did not create robots. As C.S. Lewis put it in his book The Great Divorce, “There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, in the end, ‘Thy will be done.’”  Likewise, although a free society must have obvious guardrails against things like murder and theft, it must also guarantee core liberties such as: freedom of speech, religion, movement, and what “medicine” you take. Otherwise, those fellow humans in power treat other humans as their property/robots.

With the unprecedented power grab that covid and the covid shot has entailed, the “emergency powers” that governments have claimed have put humanity on the fast track towards a totalitarian global government. The plan of these most powerful people in the world, which include the UN, WEF, and WHO, is unprecedented world control. India, and sub-Saharan nations just voted down changes in the World Health Organization’s health recommendations again. This included binding “health” orders for all member states that would override individual nation’s laws and give WHO authority over all member states to demand proof of vaccinations/vaccination status, forced vaccination, quarantine procedures, restrictions on travel, lockdowns, and lockouts, mandatory detentions, control over what medications people may take and not take, privacy, and more. This combined with the stated goal of creating surveillance and control on a global scale, via for instance government digital currency, makes 1984 look like child’s play (Central Bank Digital Currencies | “We Need to Know Who Has Been Vaccinated And Who Has (rumble.com)) (see also Klaus Schwab says whoever controls AI, metaverse ‘will be the master of the world’ – LifeSite (lifesitenews.com). While these amendments at the WHO were just again voted down, the Pandemic Treaty is still something they are trying to get through which entails all these totalitarian measures. The Pandemic treaty also includes, among other things, a clause to circumvent the US constitution and the Senate, centralized vaccine/medication response, surveillance, and equity which means mandated distribution by WHO from richer countries to poorer of things like medical supplies (global Marxism), making WHO an arm of a world government. They frame their plan for censorship of all dissent as “design communications and messaging strategies for the public to counteract misinformation, disinformation and false news, thereby strengthening trust.” Biden Admin Negotiates Deal to Give WHO Authority Over US Pandemic Policies – [your]NEWS (yournews.com). They also have a program about their approach to health called “One Health.” One of the sponsors for this, for example, is Zoetis who used to be a subsidiary of Pfizer and is “the world’s largest producer of medicines and vaccinations for pets and livestock” (see Zoetis – Wikipedia ). It is a collaboration of the richest, most influential people, corporations and organizations in the world, and the medications they plan to give all people are hardly “natural” while they plan to deny us the choice to take anything else. Their only route for medicines is pharmaceuticals, and they decide which ones as well, which will make those companies and their shareholders more rich and powerful. This is fascism on steroids under the cover of “health” of the entire globe. They can also call anything an emergency to justify their actions, including things like “climate change,” as a pretense for global totalitarianism.

It is impossible to overstate how dangerous this is.

People such as Klaus Schwab in the World Economic Forum, have stated that we are entering the 4^th industrial revolution where they are not going to change the world, but change humans. They openly talk about mixing man and machine—transhumanism—and creating all-encompassing surveillance, 15-minute cities (a form of prison) and instead of living and moving in the natural world we are encouraged to live in the metaverse. Basically, they want us to live in the Matrix, controlled by the Mark of the Beast and surveilled by the eye of Sauron. (rumble.com). These people do not want to live with nature, but they want to control and alter nature—us included—which is also the whole point of GMOs.

In this critical point in human history, it is evident that the more separated we are from nature/God’s original design, the more separated we are from God: its Author. What is happening today is all prophesied in the Bible. As God said with regards to the tower of Babel with one single language and speech there would be nothing they couldn’t do, which indirectly suggests that they were of one mind/in agreeing on the purpose of the tower. When they were scattered, each tribe/nation had their own language, laws, plans, and so forth, working as a restriction for what they could do. In other words, de-centralization is a safeguard against totalitarianism. A one world government, with one healthcare approach, one digital currency, and so on, would wield unimaginable power and profoundly deny the individual to have a say in anything that truly matters.

By the same token, regular people everywhere can fight back effectively if they come together since we are larger in numbers. This is why authoritarian-minded people in power positions want a public that is divided and ignorant via propaganda and censorship.

The mindset of these people has an atheist foundation. Yuval Noah Harari, who is top advisor to Klaus Schwab Yuval Noah Harari | World Economic Forum (weforum.org) and a key figure in futuristic predictions and goals is an example of a thinker that is in opposition to Judeo-Christian faith.
