The emperor has no clothes; there was no ‘Genocide’ in Gaza
“Genocide,” declared a group of “writers” in the US, “is not a matter of opinion”. Ignoring for a moment, the exquisite irony of writers rejecting the concept of debate, we should acknowledge that this is yet another attempt to bully and intimidate Jews, and to stymie and shut down discourse on an issue that very much is a matter of opinion since the allegation – though widely believed – does not accord with the facts.
These “writers” are effectively saying that despite the ICC not finding Israel was committing genocide and despite virtually every piece of objective evidence about Gaza pointing to the fact that “genocide” – and “starvation” – were illusions painstakingly, expensively constructed by Hamas and a compliant/complicit media, we must nevertheless accept it as true because they (and Hamas supporter across the globe) say it is true.
Everyone on the planet is expected to behave like the craven courtiers and sheep-like citizens in the fairy-tale
In other words, everyone on the planet is expected to behave like the craven courtiers and sheep-like citizens in the Hans Christian Andersen story of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” who all agreed his clothes were “fine” because everyone else said his clothes were “fine” even though it was perfectly obvious that the emperor had no clothes and was stark naked.
Even if the facts do not add up to “genocide”; even if it is perfectly obvious that there was no “genocide” and no “famine” – another illusion that has been comprehensively demolished by a new report from UNICEF – everyone must simply agree that there was. And if we refuse to go along with what is palpably a deception. If we are like the unblinkered, perceptive child who points out the reality of the emperor’s naked state; if we decline to accept the mountain of lies, we are – according to some other new body created to support Jew-hate and Jihadists – “genocide deniers.”
And before we remind ourselves of the overwhelming evidence (that now includes that UNICEF report) demonstrating that “genocide” is nothing but a carefully-crafted illusion – and, of course, a “blood libel” – we should first consider why those who are desperate to maintain the myth of a “genocide in Gaza” have chosen the resonant phrase “genocide denial” to do so. Is it possible that in using this phrase, the haters are employing the Judo principle of using your opponent’s strength against them, and shamelessly, shamefully using Jewish exceptionalism to undermine those refuting the heinous claim and to deflect the critics of this perfidious allegations/ Also, possiblyto make even some Jews hesitate to debunk the lies. Indeed, the semantics are so diabolical, that if David Irving was still active in Nazi white-washing and wasn’t almost 90, I feel certain the devout denier of the Nazi genocide who sued Deborah Lipstadt for calling him a “Holocaust denier,” would be gleefully tormenting Jews over “their” denial of this fake “genocide.”
If “genocide” is so clearly a deception how, I hear you ask, is it so widely believed? Probably the sheer quantity of oil-wealth thrown at its creation and amplification The illusion was generated by an immensely expensive disinformation/misinformation campaign. Following many decades of dissemination of a fake, Soviet-fabricated Palestinian narrative the ground was nicely seeded for an explosion of Israel-hate. And it’s always seeded for an explosion of Jew-hate. So when a well-trained Hamas comms team, augmented by international PR firms and funded by Iran, Qatar and other oil-rich states, began disseminating a blizzard of lies, libels and dodgy statistics, the misinformation was enthusiastically received by a coalition of the Left, radicalised Muslims, climate-warriors and assorted Western apologists, whipped into a greater frenzy of Israel-hate by activists probably paid by Iran. But the fatal blow to objective reality came with the capitulation of Western media which upon hearing the lies, libels and dodgy statistics instantly became a mouthpiece for Fundamentalist Islamists and a conduit for their lies, libels and dodgy statistics. But even if we ignore those devout Israel haters predisposed to believe that there was “genocide” in Gaza, it’s not hard to see why the gullible and ill-informed were unable to distinguish hard facts from baseless allegations and simply believed the torrent of lies, libels and dodgy statistics. And of course, a whole lot of othere patently absurd illusions had also been established to underpin the “genocide” illusion such as that thriving, lush, bustling Gaza, with 30 hospitals and free movement was “an open-air concentration camp.”
But the more damaging one was that Israel was “blockading” Gaza which was that favourite Palestinian propagandist’s weapon, a halg-truth. Israel was not not blockading Gaza but neither was it behaving as a corrupt cohort of overtly anti-Israel agencies, NGOs and individuals were claiming. The reality was that repeated, internationally-documented attempts (by Iran) to smuggle vast quantities of weapons and explosives (initially to the Palestinian Authority, and later to Hamas) led Israel – understandably – to closely monitors and control “aid” coming in by land and sea. Terrorist leaders desire an uninterrupted supply of deadly weapons, missiles, etc. so they framed the control/monitoring by Israel as “blockading” the enclave, and had their cronies in the in the UN,NGOs, etc whine to the media,. And the media, of course reported it framed, as “evil” Israel “blocking” humanitarian aid. The “blockade” demonstrably failed to cause “shortages” in Gaza before Hamas’s savage invasion provoked a war. And based on facts rather than allegations, it is likely that most if not all of the “shortages” post-October 2023 were not directly due to Israel but to factors such as Hamas hijacking the aid or the UN refusing to cooperate with Israel to distribute it – though it was, of course, always framed by the by-now fully Hamas compliant, media as being the fault of Israel. And having established the illusion that Israel was “blockading” humanitarian aid, the next step was for entirely false claims about impending famine to be disseminated. This was another task with which the openly anti-Israel UNRWA and other devoutly anti-Israel agencies, NGOs and individuals were only too happy to assist. And the media of course immediately reported the claims despite their lack of veracity and the known bias of the sources.
And then came Hamas’ claims about children dying of starvation. The claims were again mostly false but were disseminated and endorsed on behalf of the Jihadists by the devoutly anti-Israel UN, NGOs and “eminent” doctors – accompanied by AI images from the Hamas press team or by their agonising photos of “starving” children. After being splashed across the world’s media beneath headlines indicting Israel, the images were proved to be of children suffering from some chronic, pre-existing condition responsible for their emaciated appearance, or were from children genuinely starving but in some other conflict. But there were no retractions, no “clarifications” and certainly no apologies for relaying the palpably false allegations and fake photos – not even after Germany’s Bild Magazine revealed that a widely-distributed “dramatic” image of “Gazans begging for food” had been faked.
But by this point, the planet was in full Emperor’s-New-Clothes mode, where everyone was saying there was “starvation”, which led to everyone else saying there was “starvation”. Except there was not “starvation.” And neither was there a “genocide” though there was a brutal war in which people died
So despite bullying, intimidation and attempts to shut down the truth, we will keep saying that “starvation” was an illusion. We will keep saying that “genocide” in Gaza was/is an illusion. We will keep saying the emperor has no clothes. We will keep on showing that the emperor is stark naked.
