Follow Our Journey Home

The First Post

As we prepared for our move to Israel this summer, I decided that I wanted to write about our Aliyah experiences, all of our experiences. I wanted to document the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. For me, writing has always been something that helps me destress. I have always found peace and quiet in my mind while putting my fingers to the keyboard.

Making Aliyah is one of the scariest and most exciting things that I have ever done in my life. And I wanted to share our journey with the world (or whoever is interested in reading my little blog). So, initially, I tried to create a WordPress blog. Amid the craziness of packing up our whole lives and moving across the sea. Let’s just say I didn’t have the space of mind to be able to put that blog together properly. A few weeks ago, I created ANOTHER WordPress blog, and then I saw the opportunity to publish my thoughts and experiences on a larger scale… I jumped at the chance to become a Times of Israel blogger.

I am looking forward to sharing our experiences with you on this new platform!!

Love you all!

About the Author
My family and I made Aliyah in August this past summer. A few weeks before we made Aliyah, I began a small Facebook blog, just to share our experiences, good and bad. I then upgraded to WordPress. In the blog, I share about everyday life as an Oleh Chadash in Israel. I share about our wins and our struggles with adapting to our new life here in the Holy Land.
