The freedom of unlimited possibilities

Summer is a financially-challenging season. How can we best navigate this challenge?

Paamonim conducted a search to provide you with price ranges in five different categories. That said, remember to search online for rewards, discounts, coupons, and promotions to make the most of your summer experiences and spending.

Food: If you prefer dining out instead of cooking at home, here are a few insights into the price ranges per person:

For example, a falafel with a drink typically costs around 40 ILS. Opting for a vegan stir-fry dish, sushi, or a meat skewer, accompanied by a side dish and a drink, may amount to approximately 100 ILS. If you prefer a meat dish, complete with an appetizer/dessert and a drink, the price can increase to around 200 ILS. The bill at a luxury restaurant, per person may reach up to 400 ILS.

Transportation: For public transport, you can purchase a day ticket that covers all your travel expenses, with prices ranging between 18-74 ILS depending on travel distance. Children under 18 pay 50% of the fare, while children under five can travel for free, accompanied by a parent.

Fuel costs for a private car are approximately 7 ILS per liter and parking fees can be free or cost up to 150 ILS a day. Renting a small car for six days starts at 1200 ILS, and prices go up to 8900 ILS for a seven-seater car. Alternatively, shared vehicles, are typically smaller and cost around 90 ILS per day, with an additional 1 ILS per kilometer.

Accommodation: For a family with three children, open-air accommodations with a million-star rating offer regulated locations to spend the night, starting at 180 ILS per night. Two to three-star hotels typically range from 1300 ILS. Adding one more star to the rating increases the price to around 2700 ILS, while opting for the luxury of a five-star hotel can cost approximately 5000 ILS. Another budget-friendly option is to consider home exchanges with friends and family who may be traveling around the same time.

Water Activities: Regulated beaches and streams are open to the public free of charge. However, entry to authorized Nature Parks typically costs around 98 ILS for a couple with three children. Alternatively, purchasing an annual membership for 450 ILS grants you access to all sites throughout the year. Water parks offer a refreshing option, but the entry fee can be around 150 ILS per person unless you benefit from various club discounts.

Remember to compare the feasibility of one-time entry, membership cards, and subscriptions as the right choice can save you quite a lot.

Culture and Entertainment:

Before rushing to purchase tickets, stay informed about the latest announcements from local authorities and entertainment venues as they sometimes offer free public performances.

If you’re interested in attending a show featuring well-known trendy or high-ranking artists, ticket prices can begin at 180-300 ILS.

Make the most of the summer holiday by planning ahead and being mindful of your choices!
