The Jewess Patriot: Should Jewish Groups Honor Charlie Kirk?
Should Jewish Groups Honor Charlie Kirk?
It is now 2 months since the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I will never forget the image of him grabbing his throat and falling back, much like many in my parents’ generation who witnessed live the assassinations of both Kennedy brothers in the 1960s.
Today, as a podcaster, Jewish activist and Republican strategist, this question has been asked many times, by Jewish followers and Christian coworkers.
My History With Charlie Kirk
I met a young Charlie Kirk and his then partner, Candace Owens, at the opening of the Jerusalem Embassy in 2018. They sat with me VIP in the front section and were successfully networking. Everyone was excited to support them, including many Jewish donors.
I later met Charlie sitting in a strategy meeting in The Trump Hotel (now Waldorf Astoria ) a year later. Casually dressed and typing away on his computer, we discussed the growth of Turning Point and suggestions for expanding in New York.
Coincidentally, it was the same trip that I helped coordinate a President Trump birthday party. Candace Owens was one of the speakers and so was Katie Hopkins. I remember leaving Washington, DC, thinking something was off with both these women, and the party’s lead organizer treated the Jewish ticket buyers quite differently.
Years later, Owens and Hopkins proved me right. Their own tweets proved their true feelings about Jews, Hopkins not as much, but even one social media post is one too many.
Turning Point and Kirk Grow
Between the initial meeting with Charlie Kirk through the third campaign and eventual presidential election of 2024, Charlie Kirk spoke out for Israel, especially after October 7, 2023 and the reason to support candidate President Trump against a Democratic Party that allowed squad members to advocate for eliminating aid to Israel and defending terrorists responsible for raping women, burning babies and murdering families while enjoying a music festival or celebrating a Jewish holiday family meal.
The strategy worked, and not only did Donald Trump succeed with the greatest political comeback in history, but he was able to make both the House of Representatives and Senate red under his coattails.
The work of Kirk engaging young to vote and live lives of faith, family and freedom could not be ignored.
Charlie Kirk was a hero to many, especially President Trump.
Turning Point grew. The empire included a superPAC, successful conventions, podcasts and outreach programs.
Charlie Kirk became rich.
Then September 10, 2025 happened!
When he was murdered, it was reported that he was worth 12 million dollars.
He was eulogized by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jewish public figures from around the world. The shock of his death was felt by everyone.
It was also reported that while he loved Israel and enjoyed shutting his phone on the Jewish Sabbath, he also was in discussions about lessening his support for Israel and possibly tired of being pushed by Jewish donors. Are the texts real? Could Jewish supporters be fooled?
Erika Kirk, his widow, took over Turning Point. One of her first actions, included antisemite Tucker Carlson in their first event. Also highlighted speakers of current tours include Megyn Kelly and Russell Brand, both critical of Israel, and Brand even defending Kanye West.
Gala Season
As Jewish organizations look for ways to create buzz and donors for annual galas and events, a question of honoring Charlie Kirk comes into question. Organizations that opposed Kirk during his brief life don’t face this issue, so how will more conservative organizations benefit from remembering Charlie Kirk?
Erika Kirk has taken Turning Point in a direction that includes more prayer to Jesus. Is that good for Jews, especially American Jews, where intermarriage and assimilation are over 60 percent?
Will honoring Charlie Kirk divert attention from Jewish groups seeking the same donor support and volunteers?
Only time will tell. One thing we all agree on- Charlie Kirk was murdered viciously for the worst reason- to silence him.
Ironically, Kirk preached to do everything to engage in constructive conversation. Would his discussions today include questioning Israel’s motives on how to defend itself and America’s interactions with Israel’s government?
Should Turning Point continue with Jewish support?
