The Jewish nation, like the hostages, is coming home
In the aftermath of October 7, so many Jews have come closer to their Jewishness.
Even those who are pro-Palestinian, even they are strongly and clearly proclaiming their Jewish identity. They are saying, “We are Jews.” Their ideas about Israel might be somewhat misguided, but they are saying to the world, clearly, that they are Jews.
Many Jews are reaching out to fellow Jews, as they look for comfort and security.
Many are very motivated to understand their Jewishness, and they are strengthening their connection with Jewish tradition. As antisemites and former leftist friends condemn them due to their Jewishness or for their support for Israel, these Jews are coming face to face with their essential Jewish identity. If everyone is yelling at them for being Jewish, then they want to know more about being Jewish.
There has been a strong awakening. And there has been increased unity. Jews the world over felt the pain of the October 7 tragedies. And they felt the exuberance and joy and gratitude when the twenty hostages were unexpectedly and miraculously released, via events orchestrated by Divine providence.
Jews are coming home. To their roots. To their selves. To their people. And to their G-d.
And very soon the entire Jewish nation will return to Jerusalem, in the third and eternal Beit Hamikdosh, the Temple where we all will unite, together, the Jewish people and their G-d.
May it happen very soon.
