The Jewish Option for Rebuilding from Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma

In my 15 years as a proud citizen of the Jewish State, few events gave me more pride than to see a representative of our government give $1 million in aid to the Jewish victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. We gave as much money to help the good people of the Southern United States as the largest company in their own country did.

This is a new day for Israel. From here on, the flow of financial aid between Israel and the communities in exile will now be moving in two directions.

When I was living in America, it felt good to know that the generosity of my government was making the world a better place for all its inhabitants.

Now I have that feeling in Israel.

Rebuild in Rebuilding

We can offer so much more to the brave Jews of Florida and Texas.

Why not rebuild your life in Israel?

Why spend the next decade fighting over insurance payments, construction fees, and which president will do what when the next disaster hits?

What did Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel say, “Never let a good crisis go to waste?”

A life upheaval can turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Everything you take for granted in your daily life has been suspended. The rules you have come to respect have all been broken. The continuity of your day to day existence has been twisted beyond repair.

Take this opportunity to start a new routine in a special place! You may never get this chance again.

Pack what’s left and join us here. Rebuild your life in a place that is in a constant state of growth. Continue your career in an economy that has tripled in size over the past 20 years in the face of three external conflicts, two internal ones, and a global financial crisis.

What We Offer

What does Israel offer you?

If come here through Nefesh B’ Nefesh, you could receive a grant of thousands of dollars to get you started. Even if you have to “make due” with the thousands the Jewish Agency will give you anyway, you can still use the Nefesh B’ Nefesh support system of employment counselors and advisors to help you through every step.

As a new citizen, you pay lower taxes for years. Some cities suspend municipal taxes for newcomers for the first 12 months. The costs for flying to Israel and transporting your belongings is paid for by the State.

Education here is far cheaper. A student gets a first-class Jewish education for around $400 a year. Along with a Jewish Education, your children will learn math, science, and general knowledge subjects in the greatest information technology ecosystem on earth. For anyone who completes their national service or army requirement, the money the country gives your child makes college tuition almost noting!

Our health care system is ranked 9th worldwide. A premium health insurance package costs $125 per month.  We have the 8th longest life expectancy on earth, America has the 31st.

We are also a super safe nation. Our cities have crime rates that are a fraction of places like Los Angeles and New York. Even terrorism is less an occurrence here than what is happening in Europe and America. Once upon a time there were weapons of mass destruction pointed at Israel with despotic sociopaths holding the trigger. Today there is a madman in North Korea itching to deploy his hydrogen bomb on the United States.

Wherever you are, there is a sociopath with a weapon of mass destruction pointed at your head. You can decide for yourself which nation you think is less likely to get hit by one.

What You Can Do Here

Don’t let anyone tell you that there are no good jobs here. You can get a well-paying job in Israel where your native English skills give you a competitive advantage.

There are over 10,000 businesses in Israel. All of them are pining to sell their wares to the over $40 trillion English speaking economy. Add in China and India whose citizens conduct business in English with people outside their countries and a native English speaker becomes the key to accessing huge markets.

Every company needs English speaking salesmen, advertisers, digital marketers, PR people, customer support, tech support, venture capital, software developers – did I mention that all of the code which makes up the internet, mobile applications, Internet of Things, and AI is written in English? Or that 25% of all programmers are self-taught? We need entrepreneurs – lots of them!

How about the fact that we are set to allow 15,000 non-Israelis into the country just to fill the labor shortage in software developers? We also need doctors and nurses as many are set to retire in the coming years.

As you mull your options in rebuilding your future, how about making new start in an exciting place.
