The Jewish Thieves

My daughter, who had her bat mitzvah here (Hebrew Union College), who served in the IDF, who had lived here since she was 8 years old, has been told by the Rabbanut that she has to prove further that she is Jewish enough to be married in her own Jewish country. Carol and I were married by an Orthodox rabbi and we have the ketubah, but they said that’s not good enough. My daughter, so far, can’t have a Jewish wedding in her JEWISH COUNTRY. This has been decided by a group of men who were not voted for and, as far as I’m concerned, not Jewish at all. And yet the country stands by and does nothing. Israel is NOT my idea of a Jewish country.

Naturally, because it has to do with Bibi, is about graft and corruption. I live in Tzur Hadassah. In neighboring Beitar Illit, the two chief rabbis earn a combined salary of 1,044,311 NIS (50% of council’s budget). The chief rabbi’s main job is to give patronage jobs to his family, friends, and followers. This is the Jewish country we live in.

Everyone knows that the “ultra-religious” are a burden to Israeli society. If we would simply get rid of the monikers of “Reform”, “Conservative”, and “Orthodox”, and just be JEWISH, there wouldn’t be any conflict at all. But that would take a lot of money out of the pockets of a few men who wear the clothing of the anti-Semitic Polish aristocracy.

There are many people who think I shouldn’t write an article like this. That we must concentrate on “hasbara” and improve Israel’s image. But there is a group of people who have done nothing except ruin Israel’s image and they ruin it for Israelis. The government led by Bibi Netanyahu has done all of this, and perpetuates war so he can stay in power. He is killing our kids so he can be prime minister. And he doesn’t even care.

My daughter…MY DAUGHTER…so far is being denied a marriage because of this Israeli government. I have lived here for 20 years. This is not why I came here. This is not Zionism.

Israel has become a joke.
