The Manifesto of Democratic Love

Love is the most complex unification/combination of feelings that one has towards another. However, the unification/combination of feelings should be expressed on the basis of philosophical & political/ideological context in order to exchange & give the meaning of feelings with true & real senses. That’s what makes the difference between “loves”. Most people are contended with the illusion of love as they are only able to define what they feel. But long-term & true love needs more than definition. That’s why they can only exist in a sophisticatedly & well-explained philosophical & political/ideological grounds.

In this regard, the concept of democratic love strictly refuses the types or ways of love which simultaneously disregard the unity of mind & heart or prefers one over another. Basically, the concept of democratic love is the call for radical expression of selfless attitude towards life & society which would embrace the all aspects of life then eventually evolve into real renunciant love towards not only partner but everything.

This concept can break the hegemony of individualism/selfishness through replacing the idea of “owning/having” with “loving”. Again, this concept can able to break the hierarchy of gender by radically updating the role of partners based on their political/social status. Love on this basis may enable both partners to create a strong sense of oneness/togetherness. Lastly, I wish everyone Happy Valentine’s Day with the hope that you will able to find true partner in the age of soulless bodies, heartless passions, mindless feelings and senseless relations!
