The onslaught of ridiculous accusations against Netanyahu continue

I turn on the radio here in Jerusalem today. I can’t believe that Israeli journalists, along with the help of many politicians, can unleash such madness against Netanyahu.

But what are they accusing him of? What is happening here, when a country with serious security problems throws to the lions a leader that has always staunchly defended Israel against Iran and all of its fiercest enemies, as well as against terrorists and anti-Semites, without propelling the country into war?

They accuse him — likening him to a criminal and treating his family members and friends as crooks — of trying to influence the press through illicit means (a ridiculous accusation, especially since they continued non stop to attack him), and of having received cigars and champagne as gifts! His friends are shown in jail and in the hands of the police, as mafia members.

And because of lousy and uncertain accusation that have not yet even become indictments, they have the gall to insult him, to throw him under the bus, and to fill the ayatollahs and Peace Now with joy. It goes without saying but the jackals of all political stripes are eager to pounce on the rich plate of votes that would be left up for grabs without someone as courageous, strong, and proudly Israeli like Netanyahu.

A leader capable of managing not only war and peace, but also the economy, and who has made Israel a country that today is even respected among all the Sunni Arab countries without ever yielding to the suicidal requests that the entire world tries to impose upon him. Our hope is that he’ll be able to weather the storm and in the end emerge victorious.
