The Paradox of Letting Go to Receive __ Torah Portion Vayeitzei

The Paradox of Letting Go to Receive

Torah Portion – Vayeitzei

The paradox of letting go to receive,

Subsequent to having been given the blessing,

Jacob departs from Isaac to flee Esau

With his anger for the loss of blessing.

The escape gives way to finding refuge,

Externally and deep within himself;

To become more than he is, to become

Who he could be, to be worthy of blessings,

Thus, not only from Isaac but from God.

Jacob must become so much more to fulfill

The potential of the blessings received,

To partner with God, to be worthy,

By leaving his ego to embrace his mission.

Thus, angels ascending and descending,

Guide the upward journey into ourselves.
