The problem is not the West Bank, stupid

The Times of Israel tells us ahead of the Deal of the Century peace plan disclosure, that its core is finding a new way for Jews and [Arab] Palestinians to live together on the West Bank. And there the whole plan went wrong already.

For half a century, Palestinian activists have been telling the whole world that it is ‘the occupation’ [by Israel of the West Bank of the Jordan River] that makes them anti-Israel. Not true, though. They were anti-Zionists before Israel recaptured the West Bank and they will be anti-Israel after solving the West Bank problem. Because the real problem is Jews.

So, the verbal war (and let’s hope and pray that it stays verbal) that will be raging now is between three groups who hold by respectively:

  1. Greater Israel

Jews (the Palestinians of yore) are indigenous to the Land of Israel.

Arab Palestinians are fairly new to the Land, a couple of hundred years at the  most. (Arafat was born in Cairo.)

A sizeable percentage of them are Jews (there always lived Jews in the Land) who were forcefully converted to Islam some two centuries ago. (They may still have the status of Jews for Jewish Law.)

Every People has the right of national independence, if they want — the Jews are no exception.

Jews will always welcome the stranger — but on condition that they respect us Jews. That excludes terrorists and their supporters.

In the case of Zionism, this went so far that the Jews agreed that Arab Palestinians should have 72% of the Land, e.g. Jordan.

This did not include the West Bank, later illegally occupied by Jordan.

Arabs on the West Bank never objected to the Jordanian occupation. But when Israel recaptured the WEst Bank, they protested, showing that they don’t want their own State. They just don’t want Jews around.

In Jordan, Arab Palestinians have no full civil rights. They’re locked away in refugee camps. They have no right to seek employment, housing or vote, unlike the other Jordanians. This must change as Jordan is Arab Palestine.

So, they will claim the whole West Bank as part of the Jewish State.

With a path to citizenship for the Arabs who live there.

They will claim that anything less endangers Israel. Their main tool is exaggeration.

  1. New Palestinian State

Palestinian Arabs should receive the West Bank as yet another independent Arab Palestinian State.

Of course, this would not end their animosity regarding Jews so for them this is just a phase to eventually chase away, kill or convert all Jews.

Non-Palestinian so-called allies of Arab Palestinian activists are often even more aggressive and hateful than the ones they claim to support because they don’t really care about them — they just hate (Zionist) Jews.

So, they will claim the whole West Bank as part of a next independent Arab Palestinian State.

With all Jews who live there moving out.

They will claim that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger to drum up hatred and support. Their main tool is plain lying.

  1. Status Quo

This peace plan wants to consolidate the present situation, with Jews and Muslims living at the West Bank, but then in peace.

Peace should come from being reasonable on both sides. Never mind that Palestinian activists and their supposed friends have not been reasonable in 50 years and will not become so either.

The ‘hope’ is that prosperity will make them mild and friendly so much that they even would start to be able to stand Jews.

Middle-of-the-road Israelis often support this pipedream.

They will claim that they are the only reasonable ones. Their main tool is denial of the frightening reality.

However

But please note that the whole discussion who “gets” the West Bank is beside the point.

The real discussion should be: When will Muslims on the whole learn that Jews are here to stay and that any hatred for them is their illness, nothing Jews have caused or cause — just like sexism is a craziness of men.

Christianity needed Auschwitz and a defeat of Hitler to get there.

Because Jews are not open to a Muslim-run Auschwitz, Germans should in great numbers move into Muslim countries and communities and teach there, love (or at least respect) for Jews. Nothing else will work.
