The Promise of the Ages Awaits Its Day
(Reflections on the Haftorah for Re’eh)
( Isaiah 54:11-55-5)
Diamonds, sapphires, all precious stones
Will give the roads of Jerusalem light’s aura.
The promise of the ages awaits its day
For us to welcome its foretold arrival.
The celebration of ceremonies
Has space reserved from the beginning of time.
To recognize, acknowledge and understand
The precious value of the new beginning.
For that we must be ready to unite as one.
Preparation through study of Divine texts,
Imbibed to live in every thought, word, deed,
Brings the revelation within immediate reach.
The Davidic dynasty is thus witnessed,
Wherein security and serenity reign for all.
