I take back every time I assumed that Trump was an idiot. He had all the information. He understood all the information. And he deliberately misled the US people into ignoring the pandemic because he figured that admission of danger would hurt the economy and his reelection.
It also rejects all his accusers who point out that he is a life-long serial failure and incompetent. He could be a success, clearly. But he only cares about his own narrow interest. He doesn’t give a hood about others.
He says to an interviewer on tape, 6 days before the 2020 State of the Union, that he heard from the Chinese dictator that the new coronavirus kills some 5% of the infected in contrast to the regular flu that kills less than 1%, still responsible for ten-thousands of death per year in the US.
He says that all verbatim. He knew the US was heading toward hundreds of thousands of coronavirus deaths and did nothing. By his own admission.
He is a very stable genius. He got it right the first time. He is just a very unwise man. He wanted to model himself after Nixon. Nixon’s downfall was the self-glorifying taping he had organized on automatic pilot. And Trump even gave interviews admitting to all his negligence and deceit?
He’s unwise but not stupid. He was in it for his own glory only. He would not let a stupid virus steal his limelight. We have a word for that. Not crazy, not stupid, not incompetent. The word is evil. He chose to hurt, not protect. And he could because his own glamor meant more than the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans. That’s callous and evil. Not stupid.
He killed more Americans than all wars of the last 100 years combined. Not out of incompetence. Not out of miscalculation. Out of carelessness.
His reign has a lack of truth and care as his tools; choosing evil is its cause.
Veteran reporter Carl Bernstein says that the content of Watergate scandal reporter Bob Woodward’s recorded interviews with Trump is more incriminating than Woodward’s reporting that brought down president Nixon. Carl Bernstein calls Trump’s behavior: proven negligent homicide.
Trump is responsible for many more outrages (undermining the military and rule of law, selling out to Russia, China, betraying the Kurds, etc. But summing that all up makes it so unbelievable that it loses its power. Less is more. The press should go after his deliberate negligent homicide only.
The ‘China virus’ is actually the ‘Trump virus.’
