Tax The Rich! (Why was this never chanted at Trump rallies?)
I want to protest the scandal that the richest USers don’t pay taxes really. Especially, now, in the above clip, specialists reject blame to them. They can’t help taking advantage of ‘loopholes’ in the tax laws? Yes, they can!
They blame Capitol Hill for not creating better tax laws. That’s (almost) funny. Because these politicians cater to the rich. They do their dirty work to please the wealthy and the rich throw the moral issue back at them?
If the door to the jeweller was left open, the thieves were not to blame? They would be a ‘thief of their own wallet’ if they didn’t go steal there?
There is only one problem for the loaded preventing them from paying their fair share: greed. Because no law stops them from telling their tax consultants: Ensure I pay my fair share. Instead of: As little as possible.
Now, some millionaires are angry at the accusations of being stingy because they give a lot of their wealth to charity. That is very nice. But you can’t properly play the saint from the money that the State (everybody) should have received from you. It’s nice to decide where your money goes. But in a democracy, the rich don’t get to decide that. Elected officials do.
My father grew up poor. He became a physician, despite growing up in poverty and despite the Holocaust. He always said: I’m glad to pay tax. If I pay more it shows I earned more. Affluence doesn’t allow for immorality.
On top of all this, we need to stop honoring and flattering people because they amassed wealth. Money doesn’t prove you’re a good or even an able person. Neither I would state that wealth proves you’re not. A booming bank account says as much about your value (!) as your health. Nothing.
