The similarities between Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump.
The similarities between Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump, the leaders of the right-wing movement.
“What I value most in my friends is loyalty” David Mamet.
The President of United States Donald Trump is a loyal friend of Jewish people, of State of Israel and of its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
During his first term as the 45th President of USA, he moved the American embassy to Jerusalem and, thus, met the dreams of many generations of Jews; he made the Golan Heights an integral legal part of Israel and, under his leadership, the Abraham Accord, an agreement to normalize relations and foster cooperation between Israel and United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan, became a reality
Now, as the 47th President of United States, Donald Trump continue to show genuine support to Jewish people and their only country, the State of Israel. During the twelfth days war with genocidal theocratic regime of Iran, when the ayatollahs were sending non-stop ballistic missiles to kill the Israeli civilians, Donald Trump and his administration were unquestionably on the side of the Jewish state. They joined Israeli Air Force in the military effort to destroy the Iranian nuclear program.
There are similarities in the lives of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.
Both encounter an opposition from individuals who are not sharing the same political ideologies and views with them. It is absolutely normal political phenomenon in the countries like United States, the constitutional federal democratic republic with the President acting as a head of State and head of government, and Israel, a parliamentary democracy with Prime Minister acting as head of government and chief executive of the State of Israel.
However, in both countries the level of political radicalization and polarization between the left and right movements, have reached in the last several decades not seen before intensity and antagonism. The obvious illustration of this animosity is the use by the opposing Party, in case of Israel Parties, extremely poisonous and hurtful means to compromise the leader of the counterpart.
The term Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) encompasses the reactions of the leftist activists and other haters of Donald Trump to his ideas and actions and their characterization of them as absurd and unreasonable. The origins of the term go back to the works of late author, journalist and psychiatrist Charles Krauthammer, who in 2003 attributed the whole purpose of this mental health condition to discredit the presidency of George W. Bush. The psychiatrist in 2017 noted “What distinguishes Trump Derangement Syndrome is not just general hysteria about the subject, but additionally the inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences on the one hand and signs of psychic pathology on the other”.
In 2024, the Senate majority leader from Democratic Party, Chick Schumer, following the Israel’s leftist narrative pushed the view that Benjamin Netanyahu puts his personal interests above the Israel’s survival.
The Senator was blaming Netanyahu of forming an alliance with right political parties, with Smotrich and Ben Gvir at the helm, but hypocritically omits the fact that the centrist parties, leading by Benny Gantz, Gideon Saar and Avigdor Lieberman, have refused to join him in a coalition. This represents the example of Netanyahu Derangement Syndrome.
Both, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, are victims of the derangement syndrome instigated by the paranoia and hatred of the opposing parties.
But the similarities between the two leaders do not stop on the psychiatric derangement syndrome.
In the years 2022 and 2023, Donald Trump was under five criminal and civil prosecutions.
Benjamin Netanyahu was charged on November 21, 2019 with fraud and breach of trust in cases 1000 and 2000, and with fraud, breach of trust and getting bribes in case 4000.
It would be naïve to assume that these two men were rightly accused by honest and impartial police and judiciary, considering the level of hatred Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu experience by certain parts of the population of US and Israel. The individuals, afflicted by the Trump and Netanyahu derangement syndrome, are ready to employ any means to remove these, in their mind’s, despicable leaders. The extent of the dishonesty and use of the political power to undermine the opponents is evident by the President Biden’s pushing his attorney general, Garland, to expedite the investigation against former President Donald Trump.
The Israeli legal experts conclusively present evidence that all cases, 1000, 2000 and 4000, against Netanyahu are politically motivated and do not carry much weight, “what they failed to do in election, they are doing through the judicial system, with the backing of academia and the media”.
Benjamin Netanyahu points to the difficulties, created by the leftist forces in US Congress and Israeli Knesset, to undermine his power and thwart the initiatives of President Trump. “In America and Israel, when a strong right-wing leader wins an election, the leftist Deep State weaponizes the justice system to thwart the people’s will’ and “They won’t win in either place. We stand strong together”.
The most important similarity of all the two leaders, Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump are exhibiting, is their unwavering loyalty to their countries and to the people of Israel and United States of America, and as well a proven loyalty to each other.
