The Strongest Storm Since the Holocaust

Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton

There’s a hurricane on its way to Florida. It is described as potentially catastrophic and as the worst storm the state has seen in a century. Seven million people have been urged to evacuate, leading to clogged freeways and gas stations as citizens attempt to save their lives. As a local described the approaching storm, “It’s going to be flying missiles.”

Now, be honest. Can you imagine what it’d be like if hundreds or even thousands of actual missiles flew overhead? Can you imagine how you’d feel if the perpetrator was not Mother Nature but several terrorist proxies? Can you imagine the hurricane capturing hundreds of innocent civilians and holding them captive for a year? Can you imagine the destruction so severe that tens of thousands would be forced to leave their hometowns? And what if I told you there wasn’t just one main hurricane hitting Florida but several hurricanes working together to destroy the entire state and its people? What if I told you that while you tried to protect your life and that of your loved ones by sitting in safe rooms, at Ivy League universities, on the streets around the world as well as in the UN, citizens and politicians would be protesting in favor of the storm, devastated that the deadliest hurricane in a century didn’t wipe you out?

How and why did you survive, they would chant. You don’t deserve to live or have your own state. After all, if you look back to the Cenozoic Era, Florida was submerged under an ocean, so does it even have the right to exist?

You probably understand how absurd this all might sound unless you’re a useful idiot like so many others who have freely chosen to become spokespeople for terrorist organizations led by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Advocating for the destruction of the Jewish State of Israel is not only futile, but it is plain antisemitic. No self-deprecating Jew or gentile claiming to be an anti-Zionist can change the fact that Jews have a claim to the land of their ancestors, the land we’ve been praying to return to way before Christianity or Islam even existed.

What would it take for the world, one year following our worst hurricane since the Holocaust, to advocate for our right to live? In a world where UNRWA is up for a Nobel Prize although so many of its employees are proven terrorists; in a world where butchering, raping, and burning babies and entire families alive is considered legitimate because it is a so-called freedom act, what can we do as a nation to convince the West that we are fighting their fight as well against radical Islamist terrorists?

If October 7th, 2023 has taught us anything, it is that we are at fault, and for all the faults of that horrific day, the 120 Knesset members of the Israeli government and the Army officials need to be held accountable and must step down. It has taught us that a true victory can only be achieved once we’ve reunited those taken by the storm with their families. October 7th has also shown us that we are essentially alone, that no one wants the Jews, and that nothing has really changed since the Holocaust, other than the crucial fact that we now have our own State. Finally, the most important thing October 7th has proven to us is that we are not going anywhere, and we’ll be damned if we ever get caught in a hurricane again.
