The threat of tariffs by U.S. sparks in Canadians the sense of patriotism.
The threat of imposition of tariffs by U.S. sparks in Canadians the sense of healthy nationalism and patriotism and, hopingly, they will come to the realization that Trudeau regime robbed Canada of our heritage and past achievements.
During Parliamentary question periods Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Chrisitia Freeland frequently used the phrase ‘MAGA maple syrup Conservatives’ and throwing it as an insult toward the Poilievre’s Conservative party.
The acronym MAGA stands for Make America Great Again-the main trade mark of Donald Trump’s ideology and the basis of his vision of the political, social, military, economical and many other aspects of Americans’ lives. The moment the abbreviation MAGA appeared in the English lexicon our ruling Liberal leadership was making fun of its meaning and used the abbreviation as a tool to belittle their opponents in the Canadian Parliament, the Conservative party of Canada.
In my humble opinion, Canada can use acronym MOCGA which stands for Make Our Canada Great Again.
Just after winning the federal election and becoming the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, during the interview to New York Times in 2015, stated “There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada” describing his vision of Canada as not a nation any more.
In the first couple years after Trudeau made this statement it did not cause a significant outcry among Canadians. Some of us, at the time, saw it just as an expression of the views the politicians sometimes allow themselves but actually do not mean it. There were couple articles and essays arguing with the Trudeau’s vision of Canada. However, there was not loud condemnation of Trudeau’s contempt towards Canadian patriots and nationalists.
From the first days of Trudeau’s administration the identity policy and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) concept became the rule of the land. Using the Marxist ideology of oppressors and oppressed Trudeau was advancing his goal of make the post-national vision of Canada a reality. To achieve this Justin Trudeau and his activist government falsified the Canadian heritage and history.
As it was noted:” From 2015 through today, the overarching narrative of the Trudeau government is a woke progressivism that project western culture as a hierarchy of power, one of oppressors and the oppressed.” In the last nine years, “Canadians have been re-educated to understand our country is founded on genocide, theft, racism and oppression. It is therefore inappropriate, indeed unacceptable, to honour our forefathers’ achievements and their mores, traditions, and identifying symbols”. The Trudeau regime persistently undermines people of Canada by stressing the notion that the generations of ‘settlers’ have no rights to be proud of their achievements and should better ask for forgiveness for the past faults.
We witnessed the governments’ encouragement to erode the contributions of our founding father and our first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald, and the Canadian Christian educator and author Egerton Ryerson. Their statues were defaced and brought down. The same fate followed the statue of Queen Victoria. Many roads and schools changed their names from Sir John A. Macdonald to something else.
Recently, I had to renewed my passport and received a new version of it. The images on the pages of the new passports are different from before: you can’t find pictures of the Fathers of Confederation, depictions of Canada North and Prairies, Canadian National Vimy Memorial, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Stanley Cup, National War Memorial, Pier 21, Halifax, the last spike 1885, picture of Bluenose and image of Terry Fox. All stated above events, places and people signify the achievements and successes of Canada as a nation. It was deliberately removed and replaced in the new version of Canadian passport with the watermark depictions of children, birds, fish, a man cleaning road of leaves and a barn.
“The Parks Canada’s Framework for History and Commemoration (2019) outlines the approach for careful review existing national historic designations and their plaque texts”. Under the designation colonial assumptions, it has to be reviewed in relation to “colonial and religious leaders and their actions, and to settlement and nation building that were written from an overly European perspective”. How other than to falsify the historic record of Canada can you interpret the above intentions. It was done by the directions of the activists’ Trudeau government.
There are numerous other instances of the corruptive and corrosive actions by the present Prime Minister of Canada and his government to belittle our heritage and change the Canadian past on order to reach his globalist’s goal- the post-national Canada.
We elected Justin Trudeau three times: in 2015, 2019 and 2021. In October of 2015 the Canadians did not know yet the real Trudeau, his statement of post-national Canada came couple months later after the first electoral win. But in 2019 and 2021 we gave him the power, although it was a minority Liberal government, to continue to propagate the leftist ideas and practices. It allowed him to continue to inject the identity policy and (DEI) in the government and corporation offices, in the schools and universities but worse of all in the minds of our children and youth. We can’t blame anybody but us. The acknowledgement of the truth is sometimes painful but it is necessary. For nine years we allowed this myopic politician with globalists extreme leftist ideas to corrupt and undermine Canada.
The threat of imposition of tariffs by U.S. has sparked in Canadians the sense of healthy nationalism and patriotism and, hopingly, they will come to the realization that Trudeau regime robbed Canada of our heritage and past achievements.
