The Time for Half-Measures Is Over

For too long, Israel has played defense—apologizing, negotiating, and trying to prove its right to exist in the land that has been Jewish for thousands of years. October 7th changed everything. The massacre by Hamas was not just another terrorist attack; it was a declaration of war against the Jewish people, a brutal reminder that our enemies do not seek peace—they seek our destruction. It exposed, once again, the failure of appeasement and the dangers of surrendering our land, the failed process called “Peace process”

I am a filmmaker and the grandson of Holocaust survivors who produced and directed my first Holocaust documentary, “Baltic Truth, which exposes the forgotten collaboration of the Baltic states in the mass murder of Jews and the rewriting of history that continues to this day. I seek truth through film because history shows us that lies lead to massacres.

I remember when we were filming Baltic Truth in Latvia, in the small town of Akniste, at the site where Jews were executed during the Holocaust. The field where we filmed borders a property with an apple orchard. While my film crew was packing up the equipment, I wandered over to the orchard to pick an apple. As I reached for the fruit, a Latvian woman approached me from the garden. She asked what we were filming. I explained that we were documenting the Holocaust in Latvia, and that in Akniste, we were specifically focusing on the role of local Latvian citizens who participated in the killing of Jews before the German army even arrived. The woman looked at me for a moment, then said something that still haunts me: “Do you think anything has changed? They would do it again today if they had the chance.” Her words lingered in the air, a chilling reminder that history’s darkest chapters are not always as distant as we would like to believe.

Now, while working on my next documentary, “Ashes of Identity, which examines the October 7th atrocities and the global rise of antisemitism, I happened to watch the funeral of the Bibas family—a mother and her two children, kidnapped by Hamas, tortured, and ultimately murdered. In that moment, I could no longer remain silent.

The world is witnessing the same indifference that allowed the Holocaust to happen—the same blindness, the same excuses, the same cowardice. No matter what anyone tries to tell you, nothing has changed. The United Nations, the media, and so-called “human rights organizations” have not only failed to condemn Hamas and others involved but have actively spread its propaganda, shifting the blame onto Israel for defending itself. Let’s not be fulled, we have no allies but ourselves.

The Root of the Problem—Iran Must Be Dealt With

Many talk about Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad as if they are separate threats, but they are merely tentacles of the same monster—Iran. The Islamic Republic is the head of the snake, the central force funding, training, and arming the terror groups that seek Israel’s destruction.

  • Hamas would not exist without Iranian weapons, intelligence, and funding.
  • Hezbollah is a fully armed Iranian military proxy, standing at Israel’s northern border. Although recent Israeli military actions have reduced its rocket arsenal by approximately 80%, Hezbollah still possesses an estimated 24,000 to 40,000 rockets and missiles, maintaining the capability to strike deep into Israeli territory.
  • The Houthis in Yemen, another Iranian proxy, are openly attacking Israel and global shipping.
  • Iran itself continues its nuclear program, knowing that if it obtains nuclear weapons, it can threaten Israel with total annihilation.

Unless the head of this evil is cut off, Israel will continue to face a network of proxies bent on its destruction. Recognizing that the true war is against Iran’s regime is essential for ensuring long-term security and stability.

It is crucial to emphasize that the conflict is not with the Iranian people, who desperately seek change and freedom from the oppressive regime. The war is against the Ayatollahs and the ruling Iranian regime that funds and orchestrates terror across the region. The Iranian people themselves are victims of this tyranny, yearning for a better future without fear and oppression.

Unless the head of this evil is cut off, there is no other alternative to dealing with Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad. Israel cannot fight an endless war against Iran’s pawns while allowing the real enemy to remain untouched. The moment we acknowledge that the true war is against the Iranian regime itself, we will be able to act decisively and with the full force necessary to eliminate the threat once and for all.

Gaza Must Be Jewish Again—Permanently

It took 20 years and thousands of Jewish lives for Israel to realize the truth: Gaza must be ours. Not as a military occupation, not as a temporary security measure, but as a permanent and thriving part of the Jewish homeland.

The 2005 disengagement was one of the greatest betrayals in modern Jewish history. Jews who had built homes, farms, and entire communities were forcibly expelled in the naive hope that giving land to the Palestinians would bring peace. Instead, we created a launching pad for terror. Rockets, tunnels, kidnappings, and now a massacre unlike anything we have seen since the Holocaust—all of it came from Gaza.

As I sit in my office in Boston and reflect on these events, I can’t help but think: What would happen if a terrorist group like Hamas took over a border strip of land along the US-Mexico border and began launching rockets into cities like Alamo or Houston, Texas? How would the United States respond to such a threat on its own soil? The answer is clear—no nation would tolerate this kind of aggression against its civilians. Yet, Israel has been forced to endure this nightmare for years, facing an enemy that seeks nothing less than its total destruction.

I have great respect for Ariel Sharon as a prime minister, politician, and general. I truly believe that his decision regarding Gaza in 2005 was made with genuine intentions to achieve peace. However, even great minds sometimes make grave mistakes. The withdrawal from Gaza was one such mistake, one that we are still paying for with blood and tears.

We must return, not as occupiers, but as owners. When we retake Gaza, we must erase its name and reestablish it as “Gush KatOm” (Orange District), a tribute to the Jewish communities of Gush Katif, which flourished there before the betrayal of 2005. The Jewish people made the desert bloom in Gaza, building greenhouses, industries, and thriving towns. We must rebuild and reclaim what was stolen from us.

Judea and Samaria Are Not “Occupied”—They Are Israel

But I am not only talking about Gaza. Judea and Samaria must also be fully annexed. The very name Judea speaks for itself—how can Jews “occupy” Judea? The world calls it the occupied “West Bank” to strip it of its Jewish identity and push the lie that it is “occupied Palestinian land.” This is historical fraud.

Let’s be clear: there has never been a Palestinian state in history. The name “Palestine” is a fabrication—a political lie created by Yasser Arafat in 1967 to manipulate world opinion. The land that people call the “West Bank” was Judea and Samaria long before Islam even existed. The Romans renamed it to punish the Jewish people. By allowing the world to call it “the West Bank,” we undermine our own heritage and identity. It was a concession that handed our enemies a symbolic victory—a sign that we were willing to rewrite our own history to appease others.

And what has the world done with this lie? It has given billions of dollars to the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA—funding Jew-hatred, terrorist salaries, and the glorification of mass murderers. UNRWA is nothing more than an “educational” front for Hamas. It educates children to be suicide bombers, it stores weapons in schools, and its employees took part in the October 7th massacres. Yet the world continues to pretend that Israel is the villain. Enough!!!

Judea and Samaria are not “disputed territories” or “occupied land.” They are part of Eretz Yisrael, and they must be treated as such. We must annex them fully, establish sovereignty, and crush any resistance with overwhelming force.

Meir Kahane Was Right—Jews Must Stop Playing the Victim

For decades, Israel has tried to be “nice,” to appease the world, to follow diplomatic games that always work against us. But as Rabbi Meir Kahane said, we must speak to Arabs in the only language they understand—strength. If you try to be kind, they see it as weakness; if you show restraint, they take it as an invitation to attack.

We must learn from history. The Arabs did not stop massacring Jews in 1929 because we protested. They did not stop launching terror attacks in the 1970s because we signed treaties. They did not stop sending suicide bombers in the 2000s because we gave them autonomy. And they will not stop now unless we force them to stop.

The lesson of October 7th is brutally clear: In this world, weakness is an invitation to slaughter, but strength is the key to survival. History has shown us that when Jews appear weak, we are targeted, hunted, and massacred without mercy. When we stand strong, we not only survive—we triumph.

As my Holocaust survivor grandfather Mozus used to say: “We must never again allow ourselves to be victims”. The blood of our people demands that we learn this lesson once and for all. We are not visitors or guests in this land—we are its rightful owners, the descendants of kings and prophets, rooted here for thousands of years. This land is ours by history, by faith, and by blood. We owe it to the memory of those we have lost to stand firm, to fight with unyielding courage, and to ensure that never again will we be driven from our homeland. Weakness is a luxury we cannot afford. Strength is our only path to victory and survival.

The Future Is in Our Hands

We must seize back what is rightfully ours and ensure that never again will our enemies dare to raise a hand against us. Gaza must become Jewish again, not as a temporary conquest but as a permanent part of Israel. Judea and Samaria must be annexed, and the fantasy of a Palestinian state must be buried forever. At the same time, we must stop playing Iran’s game. Every rocket fired by Hezbollah, every terror tunnel in Gaza, every attack in Jerusalem leads back to Tehran. If we do not deal with Iran directly, we are only fighting shadows.

The world will scream. The UN will condemn. Let them. We are not here to please them. We are here to survive, to thrive, and to ensure that the Jewish people never again suffer exile or genocide.

No more excuses. No more half-measures. The time for weakness is over. The time for Jewish strength is now.
