They are not pro-Palestinian, they are anti-Israel

Poster seen in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on December 4, 2023, less than two months after the October 7 massacre (Donald Trung Quoc Don / Wikimedia Commons).

They danced and cheered when Hamas committed a massacre on October 7, 2023, during which the terrorists killed, kidnapped, and raped. They protested endlessly when Israel defended itself against Hamas. But now that Hamas is on a killing spree in Gaza, murdering Palestinians in cold blood, they have nothing to say in defense of the Palestinian victims.

I am, of course, referring to the so-called “pro-Palestinian” protesters who march in Paris, London, Montreal, New York, and many other places around the world. But these crowds are not really pro-Palestinian. They are certainly not pro-peace. They are very much anti-Israel and anti-Jewish. The only Jews that they tolerate are the few token Jews whom they intimidate into demonizing Israel with them.

This isn’t new information. This reality has been clear as soon as the concept of “pro-Palestinian” became a thing. It was never about helping the Palestinians have a state. It was always about denying Jews the right to have a state.

It doesn’t matter to these people how many Arabs or Muslims are killed by the Iranian regime, by the Houthis, by the outgoing Syrian regime, or by any regime or terrorist group. If it mattered to them, they would be protesting those groups and regimes, but as we can see in Gaza right now, and as we have seen numerous times before this, when Arabs or Muslims are killed by anyone other than Israel, no matter how viciously, “pro-Palestinian” activists do not protest.

When the Palestinians were offered a state in the past, no “pro-Palestinian” activists rejoiced. They were just fine with the Palestinian leadership rejecting the offers time and time again. The concept of two-state solution is not featured at “pro-Palestinian” protests. Instead, their slogan is “from the river to the sea”. They want no Jewish state of any size anywhere on the land where Jews have lived for over three millennia.

For the Palestinians of Gaza who are trying to escape from Hamas, Israel and the US are looking at providing a safe zone. No “pro-Palestinian” activists are trying to do that. They’re not sending a flotilla to rescue those Palestinians. They’re not demanding that Hamas end its senseless violence. They do not care.

The “Palestinian cause”, as promoted by “pro-Palestinian” activists around the world isn’t about the Palestinians and has never been about the Palestinians. It is and has always been about denying self-determination to the Jewish people. This has been clear for a long time, but it has never been clearer than it is now.
