This is the week thousands of Israelis will make the decision to leave

This week is a tough week every year. The manic-depressive week of Memorial Day followed by the celebration of Independence Day. This year we have nothing to celebrate.

A very sad Memorial Day with 1,500 Israelis who were murdered or died during service in the past 7 months, 132 hostages among them at best 30 are still alive. Our soldiers are fighting in the North and South of Gaza, again without any reasonable goal, and thousands are refugees from their homes in the North with no foreseeable ending or a political change in sight.

The many who have considered leaving Israel before October 7th due to the the legal coup, moreover after October 7th and the collapse of all security systems but were not sure,
following this week, will probably make their decision to leave. Those are the middle and upper class people, academics, hi-tech professionals, medical staff – the backbone of this country.

The idea that we can “go back to normal” if the hostages come back unfortunately is irrelevant, as at best 30 of them, less than 25% might still be alive. This is horrible as we could have freed them in the first few weeks of the war, as Hamas and Qatar were at their worst possible state. And so we lost so many lives, in vain.

Just yesterday, Hamas released a video in which Nadav Poplewell from Kibbutz Nirim, who was kidnapped on October 7, claiming he was killed by an air force plane. Nadav was probably murdered in the first days fo war by Hamas animals.

Since that horrific Shabbat, the abductees have turned from a consensus into a bitter division between right and left, under the auspices of the Israeli government. The members of the government have brainwashed their camp, and now demonstrations for the return of the abducted are tantamount to treason. And the use of violence against the families of the kidnapped and the protesters for their release has become commonplace.

This is the “Save Netanyahu War”. This is why our children are in Gaza. This is why the residents of the North are displaced for 7 months with no end in sight.

We the citizens bare responsibility to the current situation.
Seven months have passed and we did not stand up and expel all the members of the government and its cabinet, including Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir, and also Gantz and Eisenkot. This is beacuse people feel there is no hope for change. This is why they will decide to leave.

In times when the right wing is gaslighting  with claims of treason, we  should ask why isnt the media and our law enforcement and security authorities taking the time to check the claims by Col. Yigal Carmon, former director of the Memri Institute. According to evidence he collected, Netanyahu received millions from Qatar. If this is true, this is an act of treason.

Even if there is no basis to any of the claims Carmon brings, there is no doubt that Netanyahu is an agent of the people working to destory Israel and promote the war of Gog and Magog, right wing fanatics, the likes of Ben Gvir, Smotrich, Dov Lior and others.
There is little dispute that Netanyahu is making all the worst possible decisions for Israel. Confrontations with the United States, whose president saved Israel and stood by us in the first days after 7/10 and to this day; he sent forces to Rafah even though there is no military purpose for this and there is an international consensus against it; he continues to leave thousands of Israelis as refugees; he gives billions in public funding during an emergency to his partners in the government; He incites against the families of the abductees; He prevents any possibility to reach an agreement to free them.
All of Netanyahu’s decisions seem to be the opposite of reason. Yet no one raises the question that Carmon raised – is this person working for Israel or against it?

The issue is the day after Netanyahu. Bibi and his partners in the last 15 years have rotted the systems in such an extreme way that it is not clear who, what and how anyone would be able to fix things. Our enemies have prevailed not on October 7th but before and after, with the great help of Netanyahu and friends for the past 15 years.

In order for Israel to be able to heal, in order for the abductees who are still alive to return, it is necessary to stand up and send Netanyahu, as well as Gantz and all their friends – away.

Gantz is not an alternative. He and his party shares 100% responsibility for what the citizens of Israel have been experiencing since October 7. All the causalites, all the damages, all the refugees.

If we want ot have a chance to save our country, the majority must find the energy, we must rise and send all of them home.
