To Whom It May Concern

US ‘deeply concerned’ by Jerusalem violence, urges care for Temple Mount status quo.

Many readers may be unfamiliar with the US, the United States of America. This new country, stolen from its original inhabitants just a couple of hundred years ago by foreign settlers from Europe, is a cause of deep concern.

Easy access to firearms, and few regulations, has led to nearly 40,000 men, women and children dying from gunshot wounds each year, yes, that’s each year. In addition, more than 360 people are shot every day, but survive.
In every state, you can lawfully carry a concealed firearm in public.

Death from gunshot wounds is the leading cause of death for black men and boys. Not old age, not even road accidents. They are more than 10 times more likely to die from gunshots than white men and boys of the same age group.

And yet the US has the temerity to express its concern for violence in Jerusalem.
Although the US is not a Christian country, they might take heed of the words of Mathew (who was, of course, originally a Jew).
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

While they are casting motes about, they could ask themselves why the Temple Mount is called the Temple Mount. The “Mount” bit is obvious, to this day it is a steep walk to the top. The “Temple” refers to the Jewish Temple first built by Solomon. The original temple is long gone, destroyed by various invaders, but we Jews are still here.

While modern building equipment would enable the building of the third and final Temple, we have been instructed to wait for the arrival of the Messiah.

So, don’t worry, America. We Jews are caring for the Temple Mount as we have been doing since the First Temple was constructed in 957 BCE. We have no need of your concern.

Another group that is causing concern is the Jewish Federations of North America. It is made up of people who have chosen to make their lives in North America. And yet they see no problem in trying to interfere in issues in Israel. Surely, they have enough problems in their own country. If they like, I could give them a long list.

If they are really concerned about Israel they are welcome to make aliya, to join us in Israel as immigrants. Then they could freely express their opinions and we would listen to them.
