Trump uses the same tactic as the serial pedophile

The almost the oldest trick in the book. You treat some of the members of your target group outright superbly to cover up abuse done to the weaker ones. That’s how Trump uses Orthodox Jews. Trump can’t be a Nazi or a racist — look how well the Jews love him. He even has Jewish family.

Don’t get me wrong. Judaism commands us to have friendly relations with the people in power for our safety. But, as much as possible, we should try to refrain from flattery and dishonesty and we can certainly not support a maniac when reasonable non-anti-Semitic opposition is available.

Especially, if someone would steal from everyone (the immigrants, the poor, foreign countries not run by dictators, and the world’s climate) and gives generously only to the super-rich, the Jews, and Israel, he is a thief and a disgrace and his stolen goods should be forbidden fruits to us.

He acts like the pedophile football coach who even founded and ran an orphanage to show how well he is for kids (boys). Until they caught him.

Of course, his philo-Semitism plays against the backdrop of the constant unfair criticism of Jews. Jews always needing to tread carefully and defend themselves, feeling unsafe. And his sole favoritism of only the Jews breeds more anti-Semitism so that his ‘generosity’ stands out even more. It is all self-serving and has nothing to do with feeling for or protecting the Jews.

This is not much different from Democratic hopeful Sanders who conveniently brings up his Jewish ethnicity only to justify his anti-Zionist (according to the European definition: anti-Semitic) friends and ideas.

Hiding one’s bigotry in plain sight.

Let’s stop taking a smokescreen of sainthood as proof of peoples’ benign inner convictions and attitudes. It’s a smoking gun, rather. The French say it well: Qui s’excuse s’accuse – The one excusing himself, accuses himself.
