Trust

Trust goes together with action. We trust that the Almighty will help us. And at the same time, we do what we can.

So for example. We work for a living (in accordance with the laws of Torah — being honest in our dealings, not working on Shabbat etc.) and we trust in G-d that He will bless our efforts to be successful.

We follow a doctor’s instructions, and we trust in G-d that the treatment will succeed.

We defend Israel with an army (in a strong way, not giving away land etc.) and we trust in the Almighty to make our efforts successful.

But what happens when there seems to be no way out, nothing we can do. Someone stuck on an island in the middle of the ocean.

We trust. Even when all seems hopeless, and there is nothing we can do, we trust in G-d to help us.

And often, as a reward for trusting in Him, G-d helps us.

The following poem reflects this.

Trust

Sea surrounds
Nothing to hold
What can we do

Trust in G-d to save us
And watch the miracles flow
