UN Security Resolution 2728

UN Security Resolution 2728 passes on March 25, 2024.

  1. Demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire and demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, as well as ensuring humanitarian access to address their medical and other humanitarian needs, and further demands that the parties comply with their obligations under international law in relation to all persons they detain.

  1. Emphasizes the urgent need to expand the flow of humanitarian assistance to and reinforce the protection of civilians in the entire Gaza Strip and reiterates its demand for the lifting of all barriers to the provision of humanitarian assistance at scale, in line with international humanitarian law as well as resolutions 2712 (2023) and 2720 (2023) and,

  1. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.

The United States chose to abstain rather than veto its vote. The problem with this decision is the ceasefire is not conditioned on the release of hostages or anything else. Moreover, it does not mention anything about Hamas including their vehement denial to provide realistic solutions to the proposal below that approved by the US, Qatar, and Egypt:

Hamas to release 40 hostages — women, children, the sick   and elderly — (the first phase) of a 6-week truce in exchange for Israel to release between 700-800   prisoners,             including 100 inmates convicted of murder.

As a counteroffer, Hamas demanded that 30 Palestinian security prisoners sentenced by Israel to life imprisonment for terror offenses be released for each female IDF soldier.

When the US Security Resolution was passed, Israel was at a critical point in the negotiations with Hamas. Biden’s backstabbing decision not to defend Israel, its long-time ally, put the onus on Israel and cratered the negotiations between Israel and Hamas.

All the Arab countries were clapping their hands, especially Russia, Iran, and China. As predicted, Hamas walked away from the table and dug deeper into their position.

This was not a smart tactic on behalf of the Biden administration. Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of State could not comprehend the impact and magnitude of the damage they caused by abstaining. This just heated up the fight and put our soldiers in greater risk engaging with Hamas terrorists moved us father away from releasing all the hostages whose families are suffering so immensely.

Biden is hammering Israel that its planned incursion into Rafah isn’t viable. IDF is the best fighting force in the world. Who is he to tell IDF generals on how to do their job and what works best for Israel. Biden is playing politics putting Israel in the mix to appease his far-left leaning administration to gain support of US libs to vote for him this November.

It’s so obvious what happened. Biden lost the Democrat Michigan Arab voters who voted “uncommitted” – close to 13% of total votes. US Representative of Dearborn Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian and an ardent Hamas supporter is a leader in the far left leaning “Squad”.

The US vote went against their long-time ally Israel and chose Hamas over Israel just to appease the far-left democrats and the Arabs in Michigan.

On March 14, 2024, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer gave his big speech in support of the US decision. Schumer is Jewish, lives in New York, was a shame putting politics over defending Israel.

Schumer went to say: The only real and sustainable solution to this decades-old conflict is a negotiated two-state solution — a demilitarized Palestinian state living side-by-side with Israel in equal measures of peace, security, prosperity, dignity, and mutual recognition.”

This 2-state solution has failed 4x rejected by the Arabs/Palestinian Authority (PA)

  • 1937 – (Peel Report) under the British Mandate
  • 1947 – UN Partition Plan, approved by the Jewish Agency
  • 2000 – Bill Clinton (Oslo Accords) between Arafat and PM Rabin
  • 2008 – Between PM Ehud Olmert and PA president Mahmoud Abbas

Schumer went to state that the “Palestinians have long historic claims to this land.” Are you for real? Israel has a 3,500-year history, and the Arabs (Palestinians) historic connection goes back at best to the late 1930s. He goes on to state: “There is no such thing as Palestinians” today is inaccurate, offensive, and unhelpful.”

Can Schumer cite one fact that tells us who are the Palestinian delineate with facts of their historic connection to Israel. In fact, Palestine is a nothing more than acronym created by Arafat and his gang of thugs to hustle donors for money. When Arafat died, he hid his wealth and sources said they had difficulty locating the billions he amassed. Palestinians are no more than terrorists hiding under an artificial umbrella – the Palestinian Authority.

The PA teaches their children to kill Jews and die to become martyrs where they’ll be spiritually rewarded and regarded as zealots/heroes. As I have said many times before, the PA provides lifetime pensions to those who carry out martyrdom. The PA is delusional if they think Israel will let them run Gaza after the war ends.

The only solution for the Arabs is one state, as they coin: “From the River to the Sea.”

Look at Biden’s track record on the international scene. He has no experience on the battlefield and certainly does not understand our neighbors or how to deal with them. Moreover, from his previous years as a politician, there again his decisions were fraught with poor insight. Even Obama once said, don’t underestimate Joe Biden’s ability to F- things up, and he’s really done it this time.”

Biden is constantly wavering and changing his position toward Israel. One day yes and the next day Israel is an adversary. He held up arms to Israel, who now supposedly agrees to fulfill Israel’s full request of arms.

I believe the world knows that Biden is in a state of mental decline suffering from senility. This is not his fault and is not meant to belittle him for his mental impairment.

When Biden first took office, he led the Afghan withdrawal in September 2021 where 13 US soldiers were killed. His reckless plan was against the advice of his top generals who told him to leave a military presence of 2,500 soldiers (after the pullout) but there again he overruled them leaving no US soldiers behind. The two-decade Afghan War cost the lives of 2,448 US service members with 20,752 wounded.

This major botch-up created a grave national security threat for the world. The military was forced to abandon $7.2 billion worth of equipment and the Taliban took full advantage, selling U.S.-made automatic assault rifles, rockets, night vision equipment and other supplies to terrorists. Now, they have deployed terrorists training camp and ISIS is back thriving in Afghanistan.

When the Biden Administration left Afghanistan, they abandoned the Bagram US Air Force Base which was wedged between Iran and China, 400 miles west of China and 500 miles east of Iran that served as a strategic asset for the US. Reports indicate that the US left behind 6,000 Americans, more than 73,500 third-country nationals and Afghan civilians. This includes special immigrant visas, consular staff, at-risk Afghans, and their families.

Chinese companies are exploiting Afghans vast mineral reserves worth an estimated $1 trillion.  Chinese nationals have been caught trying to fly out of Bagram Air Base to Communist China with precious lithium.

Israel’s must complete their military goals and remove Hamas from Gaza/Rafah in their entirety. Israel must parlay politics and finish the job ASAP – as told by Trump to Netanyahu. The world is getting impatient; antisemitism is continuing to rise surpassing all predictions. Israel must grab the window of opportunity to complete this operation.

Israel cannot listen to outsiders. One of Israel’s biggest supporters, Alan Dershowitz, is a Democrat, American lawyer and, and past law professor at Harvard Law School. His words were very simple: Israel must follow its own experts to protect its interests and must tune out the Biden Administration and other international actors about Rafah including all matters concerning Israel’s security needs.

Israel must put more pressure on the Biden Administration to throw their weight on Qatar and Egypt to persuade Hamas to make the hostage deal. The US has a base in Qatar and certainly there’s economic benefits Qatar enjoys that could be used as leverage to encourage them to twist the arms of Hamas.

Obviously, it goes without saying that Israel will do its utmost to protect the 1.5 million Gazans now in Rafah and move them safely out of arms way. Hamas will do all it can to thwart Israel’s efforts to even kill and harm the Gazans to ensure they serve as their human shields.
