US Israel partnership seems to reflect ancient predictions

There are now talks underway between Israel and the US, to transform the relationship from US fund-giving to partnering.

It involves sharing information and working together on projects.

The efforts of both nations would be so integrated and blended together, that separating it would harm US interests. Thus, even if an American government less favourable to Israel is elected, the partnership would likely continue.

There are other developments which are increasing Israel’s power. For example, Israel is scheduled to receive the first of six refuelling aircraft next month. This would increase Israel’s ability to act independently.

Israel, in conjunction with America, is becoming an extraordinary superpower.

Perhaps this was predicted many years ago.

Over three thousand years ago, when Jacob and Esau reconciled, Esau offered to accompany Jacob on his journey home. Jacob told Esau that because of the small sheep and young children, he needs to travel slowly; but he will rendezvous with Esau later on.

The commentary Rashi says, that Jacob did not do so; but eventually he (Jacob’s descendants) will meet up with Esau, as the verse states (Obadiah 1; 21): “And saviours will ascend Mount Zion, to judge the mountain of Esau, and the Kingship will be G-d’s.”

Nowadays, we are seeing many miracles and wondrous events, including the partnering of the children of Israel (Jacob) with America (Esau). (Western civilization emerged from the Roman Empire; and Rome is considered to have emerged from Esau).

And in chapter seven of the Book of Daniel, we are told that there will come a time when the high holy ones (which Rashi says refers to Israel) will rule forever.

The ancient verses are conceivably coming to life. Predictions from thousands of years ago seem to be materializing.

Israel has become a formidable power, and is working with the US to uproot evil and defend civilization.

It inspires within us optimism that very soon, the Almighty’s promise of Redemption with Moshiach will materialize.
