Vance’s MOU does not advance American war aims
Vance’s misconceived MOU quickly failed, because it radically diverged from its purpose. There were three main objectives of the Iran war: 1 – Dismantle Iran’s nuclear program & prevent obtaining nuclear weapons. 2- Dismantle their missile/drone/launcher capabilities. 3- Dismantle Iran’s proxy networks. The MOU never adequately addressed even one of these aims. Indeed, one was flipped upside down. Instead, this MOU tenuously focused on Iran’s war tactics of closing the strait of Hormuz, & even suggested downblending the 60% enriched uranium on Iranian soil, with the inadequate IAEA inspectors, whom they already had fooled before. Iran’s push to get their hands on the glimmering $300 billion embedded in double-entendres induced them to celebrate in Farsi & Arabic their great victory over those ‘dumb Americans.’
Our VP also crowed about his purported triumph, but it became evident that he lacked adequate regional & geohistorical background to comprehend how the brilliant military accomplishments had been undermined by two of his actions.
Number one, the former Hamas-turned-rescue hero Mosab Hassan Yousef reported in the Jerusalem Post that the decades-long CIA-Mossad organizing of Iraqi & Iranian Kurds to hasten the dismantlement of the Iranian regime was cancelled due to a leak. He pointed out that, unbeknownst to the President, Vance scurried to expose it to Türkiye’s PM Erdogan. Obviously, headquartering the Muslim Brotherhood together with Qatar, Erdogan wants more power in an expansive Muslim Brotherhood caliphate. He loathes the 45 million Kurds in Iran, Iraq, Turkey, & Syria loyal to the US against Jihadists like ISIS fostered by these countries’ tyrants. The Syrian tyrant who massacred Christians & Druse until Israel stopped him, afterwards aggressed against the Kurds. The Kurds might even finally clamor to formalize Kurdistan as an independent state to be run by their own pro-American leaders. Thus, Erdogan, & probably US Ambassador Tom Barrack to Türkiye, who had been a friend of the President’s, but was indicted as a foreign agent for the UAE in 2021, could easily present a slanted scenario to President Trump of a likely Middle East disaster if the long-suffering Kurds get involved, which ended the Iran war precipitously & inconclusively
Secondly, instead of doing his necessary geo-historical homework before being allowed to step into the real-world arena with the authority of a seasoned American VP, Vance wrote his second autobiography on his own Catholic awakening to woo TPUSA, focused on his own election 2028 campaign on the taxpayer’s dime. He consults with NIAC & Quincy Institute’s Prof. Trita Parsi, as well as his Qatari-paid mentor Tucker’s topsy turvy . Their anti-American/Anti-Israel & pro-Iranian perspectives have slanted Vance’s grasp of the situation before his fraught negotiations with the world’s most murderous regime, which excels in deceptively misleading tawriyya (doubletalk).
Allowing Lebanon to be included in the first clause of the MOU puts the buggy before the horse. Iran adamantly refuses to relinquish its genocidal ‘proxies ‘Ring of Fire’ around Israel. When the MOU was completed, Vance aggressively defamed Israel as if it had been the unprovoked aggressor targeting Lebanese civilians instead of Hezbollah. The latter, like Hamas, has camouflaged itself behind captive Lebanese villagers & burrowed into hundreds of miles of tunnels 65-80 feet deep, while lobbing millions of rockets/missiles/drones at Israeli families, over 45 years. They dug huge headquarters & arsenal stashes beneath the almost 2.5 thousand feet high Beaufort Castle overlook & Majdal Zoun. These headquarters are merely about 3 miles to the Israeli border.
In the 1970’s, Lebanon was 70% Christian, but now they are only 30%, with large Shiite incomers of over 30% Shiite Hezbollah terrorists & their families, who intimidate Lebanese Parliamentarians. Even Sunni Muslim former Lebanese PM Rafic Hariri, had been assassinated by Hezbollah in 2005, which further intimidated others. After the IDF Litani Operation temporarily stopped Hezbollah rockets falling on Israel, the UN SC Res 1701 had been promulgated in 2006, after Hezbollah sent 4,500 rockets on Israeli civilians. This resolution prohibited Hezbollah from obtaining or building projectiles, but was never enforced by the UN other third parties.
An October 7th-style incursion had been originally coordinated by Iran, with Hamas, the Houthis, Shiite terrorists, & Hezbollah. But Sinwar jumped the gun & attacked earlier, thus throwing the coordinated plan into disarray. Any bright VP who does his homework should have discerned that Hezbollah, the Iranian IRGC implant, is the problem in Lebanon, before his conceptual distortions damage a crucial real-time policy application. VP Vance plainly bungled that well-known reality when explaining his MOU to the American public, as if Israel “attacking civilians in Beirut” had been the issue.
Within a few days afterward, Vance was touting his MOU in every media screen, yet the poverty of its achievements had been bare for all to see. The socioemotionally mature Secretary of State Marco Rubio, then discretely went to the Middle East on a listening tour. Then he quickly repaired the first major flaw in the MOU. Despite Lebanon’s fear of Iranian retribution, Lebanon & Israel stood together against Hezbollah. This terror army is an implant of Iran’s IRGC chain of command & is not actually a local proxy. Rubio had sufficient geo-historical background in the region because he does thorough homework & has acquired experience, both of which Vance lacks. Thanks to Secretary of State & National Security Advisor Marco Rubio, we now have a Lebanese-Israel agreement, which encourages Lebanon & Israel to progress toward a peace agreement.
Vance also blundered his way through the talks, which began with the Qatari “mediators” & Iranians snubbing his very presence. Pakistan’s PM Sharif made hysterical facial expressions at each Vance faux-pas, including after Vance’s winceworthy utterances: “I have two very important people in my life, an Indian & a Pakistani, one is my wife, & the Pakistani is Field Marshall Munir.” … “I love Pakistan!” “$300B to Iran.” Jon Stewart not only threw an eyeroll when Tucker Carlson fudged his way through substantive critique 20 years ago. Jon even made bugeyes at Tucker’s mentee, Vance’s, inanities twenty years later lately. 20 years ago, Tucker had gotten fired…
Returning from Pakistan, Vance then came crowing on every possible media program about his MOU, while blaming Israel, since it had been doomed to fail. He stomped on Israel publicly & repeatedly, claiming that Donald Trump alone, in the entire world, was the only one left to be sympathetic to Israel’s predicament. As if objecting to Vance’s misconceived MOU was tantamount to repudiating the President – which it obviously was not. He then proceeded to knock down the straw dog erected, by trying to rally American outrage at alleged Israeli “ungratefulness” toward American magnanimity. He complained that American taxpayers have funded two-thirds of Israel’s defensive weapons, although the real figure is 10%. Then, he picked upon the worst coalition clowns in the Israeli government for “attacking Trump” – instead of considering that his MOU & unprovoked defamations might cause a general uproar not only in Israel, but in America too.
Then, he tried to back Israel into the most vulnerable corner of all by weaponizing Jewish post-Holocaust demographic size, by pointing out that a “nation of nine million people” (actually 7.4 million Jews) “can’t kill their way out” of every national security problem. His underlying message was: not only are you surrounded by Jihadist enemies, you also have been utterly abandoned by the world. In your largely ‘genocided’ weak demographic condition – you will not survive without Trump. Meaning: when I get to be president, not only will I publicly smear & mock the loyal nation who brilliantly fought shoulder to shoulder with America to topple the world’s bloodiest Jihadist regime. I will abandon Israel because it is too insignificant & “unpopular” to protect.
Later, Vance constantly popped up on every screen imaginable to hype his MOU on repeat, with his lovely wife adding to his “pop-ularity offensive.” Now Vance claims that Israeli-paid malign “foreign influencers” are “viciously” pricking holes in his MOU balloon, so they can “go to Hell.” As if the “only alternative” to his MOU is a “forever war,” which he falsely claims that “Israel wants.” As if he was a “Greater American” than US Generals, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of War, some Republican Senators & an intelligent public, who all rejected his MOU. As if his need for popularity applause is a legitimate excuse to bulldoze anything. Let’s face it: Reality popped his MOU balloon because it was … vacuous.
