What Are the Pros and Cons of Normalizing Relations with Israel?

I see no positive signs in it. There can be a positive sign only when within Israel, among the people of Israel living in the Land of Israel, there will be more closeness and connection.

The fact that there is some political rapprochement between the State of Israel and various other countries means nothing to me, and I simply have no attitude toward it. For instance, we have had diplomatic relations with Egypt for a long time, and they have been good enough for Israelis to be able to travel there and back, and so on. There were more such diplomatic relations in the past, and today they have already diminished. Yet, it means nothing.

Kabbalists discuss connection and closeness to the purpose of creation, a state of complete adhesion among humanity and with the positive force that dwells in nature. In other words, after spreading the message and method of connection both in Israel and among humanity, people will increasingly understand our common goal: that we need to positively connect with each other. Then, within such a connection, a state will reveal itself to us that we call “corrected,” the final correction, i.e., a connection between us and with nature’s positive force of connection. This is our eternal and perfect state, and nature is pushing us toward it, especially now in our current era.

If we publicize this knowledge, and measure situations accordingly, then we will be fine. The fact that there are some agreements between Israel and various countries means nothing. It merits neither joy nor sorrow, nothing.

Kabbalists measure our progress along a completely different axis. However, we do not belittle such agreements. Perhaps externally, they will help us continue spreading the message and method of connection. Yet only in this manner can such agreements benefit us, for upon this alone rests our salvation and that of humanity from the blows that lie ahead.
