What Will It Take To Learn From Our Journeys?

What Will It Take To Learn From Our Journeys?

Torah Portion -Devarim  (Deuteronomy 1:1- 16:17)

After almost forty years of journeys,

Just before reaching our destination,

Did the experiences, trials and tribulations

Register as lessons from judgment errors?

A new generation arose, prepared

To enter the Promised Land under Joshua,

As Moses relates past events to teach

Who we could be rather than what we were.

A moral compass is drawn as a map

For the soul from all previous sojourns.

It awaits the station of life’s decisions;

And the Divine Conscience sits in judgment.

The destination is not a guarantee

But bestowed on condition justice is pursued.
