What’s up Javi! A letter to Javier Bardem

Dear Javier,

Don’t let them make an idiot out of you!

You know actors need to have a deep sense of their character. An actor must delve into research to find the history and motivation of the character to be portrayed.  I believe that this is what makes actors smart: they can use this skill beyond their work.

Seeing your recent interviews about the war in Israel- I realized that you don’t do your homework, certainly not in causes you very vocally promote. I’m not sure how you prepare for a role, but before you go around making statements, especially regarding international affairs, you should do your research. I was quite frankly embarrassed for you and many others at the Emmy’s.

One of the sources that you quote over and over is the report by the International Association of Genocide Scholars on Israel.

This document is based on faulty research practices and biases.  For example: the report only used one source of casualties: Hamas, an Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorist Organization that has no interest in truth or peace.  Do you know that Hamas will kill anyone who stands in their way to create an Islamic  fundamentalist state, no matter their religion or heritage? They brutally kill Palestinian rivals and citizens freely for this cause. How can this “organization” be a source, let alone the sole source, for such an important report? I guess you believe everything ISIS and Al-Qaeda have said about the Western World.

The experts of the report include UN reporters who have been known, even by the United States State Department, as Anti-Semitic. So again you must believe everything your local KKK is reporting: after all, prejudice people are known to be unbiased truth tellers.

Another fact excluded completely is Hamas’s policy of using civilians as human shields. There is also no mention of Hamas using civilian infrastructure: including homes, schools, mosques, and hospitals as hideouts, weapons stores, rocket launch sites, and torture chambers.

In fact, the ratio of civilian deaths to military in this war is 1:1. Compare that to the US lead campaign in Iraq where the ratio was 3:1 (three civilian deaths for every one combatant death). Even more astonishing is that in Iraq there wasn’t a calculated and engineered policy of using civilians as human shields.  There wasn’t a complex underground terror infrastructure under everywhere US forces were operating. In Iraq, unlike in Gaza, there were not American hostages being used as human shields and pawns in an evil scheme of psychological terrorism breaking every American’s heart every second of every day. The conditions the IDF face protecting noncombatants in Gaza is almost impossible.  The saddest fact is that Hamas has done this intentionally.

Every death is a tragedy.

Israel does not want war. If you look at IDF policies and the facts on the ground, you would know that the IDF is only after those that seek the annihilation of Israel. We have seen too many times the seriousness of their threats to kill all Israelis: suicide bombs, rockets, and October 7th.  Our enemy is not the Palestinian people.

Returning to your main source of speaking nonsense on the red carpet, not surprisingly, considering its authors, the report also leaves out many facts. It doesn’t at all mention Israel’s efforts to move civilians out of areas before the army must enter to destroy Hamas infrastructure.

Javier, do you realize that Hamas spent the billions in aid they received from the international community (including Spain) toward weapons, and tunnels to destroy Israel, rather than bettering Palestinian lives in Gaza. They could  have used the money of hard working donors to build institutions for a Palestinian state. Instead they used the money to maintain control of the people. They used it to keep a hold on the Palestinian population and violently destroy any dissenters.

The report also fails to mention the aid Israel brings into Gaza for Palestinians. In its first two months of its operation, the Gaza Humanintarian foundation delivered 106 million meals. Israel has donated 2 million vaccines recently- no mention of this in the report. No mention of 14 millions gallons of water Israel pumps into Gaza. No mention of the 2500 tons of medical supplies that Israel has supplied into Gaza in only the last 4 months.

Israel is the only actor on the ground in this terrible war protecting Palestinian civilians. Certainly Israel’s intent is the very opposite of purposeful civilian deaths, as you dangerously and falsely espouse. Israel is constantly forced to find new ways of getting aid to civilians before Hamas steals it and sells it on the black market with a lofty surcharge that they then pocket.

Tell me: who is the enemy of the Palestinian civilian?

In the recent campaign in Gaza City, Israel not only warned civilians to leave via pre-established secured routes, but also left notes with a phone number for assistance.  I’m sure you may be wondering what “assistance“, dear Javier. The phone number is essentially a 911 for Palestinian civilians to request help from the IDF. They call to report Hamas violence and blockades of the safe passage routes created by the IDF.  Hamas continually blocks these routes and threatens civilians leaving.  Israel has learned to ask Palestinian civilians trying to flee to report these criminal and malign actions. Once reported, the IDF actually clears the routes from Hamas to ensure safe passage for civilians.

Why is Hamas blocking the safe passages of their fellow Palestinians? Why don’t they let civilians take shelter in the billion dollar underground tunnel network they built? The awful truth is that they purposely put their own people in harm’s way, precisely to be used in the propaganda you spout.  You have been taken for a fool.

If you really want to help Palestinians, then call out the main producers of the propaganda production, those that have taken control of your mind and mouth, mainly Qatar, and Iran. There is an extensive, sophisticated, pubic relations campaign that so many good intentioned people have fallen victim. Yes, Javier, you have been taken for a ride.

You say that this conflict didn’t start on October 7, that it started in 1948. Well, the Jewish connection to Israel is thousands of years old.  This conflict is new considering Jews have always maintained a presence in Israel and in the rest of the Middle East. Our presence here precedes Christianity, Islam, and most ethnic groups on Earth today.

Even the name Palestine pre-dates today’s Palestinians and the concept of nation states. The term Palestina was used in ancient times. It was eventually used by the Romans to replace the name of the Jewish kingdom of Judea, which was in modern day Israel. The Romans chose this term purposely to try to severe the Jewish people’s connection to the land.

P.S. Even after 2000 years this Roman plot has failed. Since this national exile, 70 years after Jesus died and nearly 600 years before the creation of Islam, Jews in the diaspora have prayed to return to Israel and Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, you haven’t done your research in the establishment of modern nation states either.  Here in the Middle East the countries on the modern map were haphazardly formed by the West in the 20th century. That is when this current conflict began.

There are so many things you either choose not to know or are too ignorant to understand. Maybe I’ll write you again soon so I don’t overwhelm you.

In the interim, you should be shouting:

Free Palestinians from Hamas!

But just one last thing- you used the term apartheid when referring to Israel multiple times on the red carpet at the Emmy’s. Here is another example of fanatical Islamic propaganda taking advantage of your nievity.  Allow me to mention one last thing.

I am writing this letter from a hospital bed in Haifa. Don’t worry I’ll be fine. I wish you could be here though. In the triage there were 4 languages: Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, and a bit of English. My nurses here are Jewish women, Muslim women, homosexual Arabic speaking men, heterosexual Arabic men, Christian Arabic speaking men, Russian speaking men and women. And all the doctors in the ER and in the internal medicine department where I spent 2 nights, followed the same exact pattern.  Every one of these individuals is Israeli. We have the same rights and face the same threats. Never mind the ridiculousness of saying that is an apartheid state, but even more so, more than in the US, there is a real sense of community.  Everyone knows words in all the languages and greet one another in the other’s language. Mainly though, to be honest, the main language is not heard at all, because it’s a smile.
