Where are you, Kamala Harris, on Israel? This active Democrat wants to know!!!

I am a life-long Jewish Democrat. As a child I campaigned for Adlai Stevenson and John F. Kennedy. Through thick and thin, I have voted pretty much straight Democratic at the top of the ticket every four years. However, now I am a grandfather living in the greater Philadelphia area and a child of a Holocaust survivor with close Israeli family, including grandchildren. I have serious questions for the presumptive Democratic nominee with respect to her position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, because quite frankly, the Democratic left has made the conflict into a conflict of white western colonizers waging genocide against Palestinians as people of color, when in fact the exact opposite is true. It is the fundamentalist radical Islamists who are avowed enemies of Jews and non-believers everywhere, including in Israel and the Western world. And I just don’t know where Kamala Harris stands on supporting our most trusted ally in the Middle East and the Jewish people.

I hear different things from different pundits, but nothing from her. For me, Donald Trump and his base are not an option despite the promises they make. Trump brings with him an agenda, persona and lack of integrity that I cannot abide in a leader, so telling me to vote for him and using his outrageous grievances and lying talking points is a waste of your breath.

I knew where Joe Biden stood and my views were confirmed by knowledgeable involved people who basically said, he has been one of the best friends of Israel ever, despite having differences with some of it’s past and present leaders. Quite frankly, I have differences with even more of the past and present leaders, but my support of Israel is as a Zionist and close relative of many Israelis.

It is a matter of record that I am as generous a donor as I can be to Democratic candidates who are supportive of Israel. Quite frankly, I have been alarmed that in the past several days, while the news networks are listing her pros and cons, all are saying they don’t know where she is on Israel while and no one seems to be challenging her to be forthcoming. I am getting appeals for money as if I was a large donor, but no one can tell me what her policy will be. So I am here to serve notice to those who ask me about Kamala Harris, and many do, that the longer she is not clear about her position about Israel, the more I am going to assume that America’s commitment to Israel might be a casualty of her presidency as she will have been commandeered by the antisemitic, anti-Israel far-left fringe of the Democratic party which has become increasingly radicalized by Jew-hating forces.

Many Jews and Israeli live daily with that fear and it is not a racist feeling to have to deal with our history of persecution and lost ones due to hatred and state violence or complicity. I am hereby putting the breaks on my monthly contribution to the ticket until there is full disclosure of her policy and vision for peace in the Middle East and saving my hard earned retirement income to seek safe haven for me, my children and my grandchildren should what I fear is happening actually does happen.

Finally, as a Democrat, I really must caution my fellow Democrats to be careful what they wish for. It is no secret and there is plenty of evidence that some members of the “big tent” want to bump off literally and figuratively other members of the big tent. Honest debate is one thing and is healthy, but justifying wiping Israel off the face of the map is a call for genocide and must be addressed and stopped. Anyone thinking this is too radical is blind to certain truths emerging daily throughout the world. If you’re reading this you can’t say you haven’t been warned.
