Who Could Have Predicted This?

“Who would have thought this could happen?” But it is happening. New York is home to the largest Jewish population of any city in the world outside of Israel. Yet the leading candidate to win the Democrat Primary election for Mayor of New York City is Zohran Mamdani who is of Muslim descent, and a devout anti-Israel, antisemitic Islamist who seems to have no problem with the jihadist chant “Globalize the intifada.”

He proudly espouses Marxist ideology but describes himself as a Democrat Socialist which sounds much cooler and has become the totally acceptable reality in the Democrat Party. Thus he is the perfect candidate to epitomize the popular Green/Red alliance whose flags have been waving proudly at every pro Hamas demonstration on city streets and campuses since October 7th.

Much like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who endorsed him, he seems to have morphed out of thin air into instantaneous fame. Like AOC who went from serving drinks in a bar to serving as US Congresswoman, Mamdani, a 33 year old freshman assemblyman from Queens has, in the blink of eye, become New York’s front-running Democrat mayoral candidate.

Mamdani may have had the basic qualifications to run for election but what qualifies him to run the most populous city in the nation, New York City, which has a population exceeding 8 million, and is a major hub of commerce, industry, and culture? It is incumbent upon all New Yorkers, and especially Jewish New Yorkers, to look past his youth, charm, and smooth talking persona to see the real Mamdani.

Mamdani has declined to say that Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish State. CAIR, which is closely aligned to the Muslim Brotherhood – a known sponsor of terrorism, has contributed heavily to his campaign. He supports the BDS movement which is an anti Israel and anti Jewish movement. His sympathy lies with Hamas, not our US ally Israel. Mamdani has even outrageously asserted that if elected Mayor, he would have Israel’s Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu arrested if he came to the speak at the United Nations in New York City.

Mamdani thinks of Hamas as resistance fighters, not terrorists. He has no problem with cries to “Globalize the Intifada,” refusing to denounce this call for a Jihadist takeover. He has no problem with calls to “free Palestine from the river to the sea,” even though that is actually a call for the genocide of Jews from the river to the sea.

But here’s what he does have a problem with. He does have a problem with the police. He thinks they should be defunded. He would like people freed from jails. He also wants to dismantle ICE and allow open borders. He doesn’t like rich people, especially white rich people and believes that people from “white neighborhoods” should be very heavily taxed. Redistribution of wealth and government owned grocery stores is typical Marxist ideology which has proven to yield disastrous results. Installing these radical communist policies would be catastrophic for New Yorkers and for the country.

Jewish New Yorkers who vote for him would be blindly ushering in a politician who would no doubt incite more antisemitic rhetoric in a city that has already seen a frightening rise in antisemitic hate crimes.

It is becoming increasingly more apparent that indeed “globalize the intifada” and “intifada revolution” are not merely catchy slogans inspired by clueless college students but rather a carefully orchestrated and well funded movement to actually carry out what those chants promise to do.

Infusing young children with healthy doses of woke and anti American ideology in their classrooms, and indoctrinating college students with antisemitic propaganda will only be the beginning.

Defunding the police and getting rid of ICE will not keep the average citizen safe. On the contrary. It protects criminals from arrest and deportation and is a recipe for creating chaos and spreading hate.

The carefully orchestrated campaign to infiltrate our government with proponents of the Islamist/Marxist partnership is facilitated when politicians like Mamdani are voted into office. You have only to listen to him to know that Mamdani doesn’t really hide what he is all about.

Leftists Democrats are insanely ushering him in as a vessel of change and youthful energy. Instead of youthful energy we will get age old Marxism. Instead of change for the better, we will get change that will undo the opportunities for growth, innovation, and a better life that is the envy of the world and the reason so many are clamoring to come to this country.

Jewish Americans, and all freedom loving Americans, please wake up. This is not the change we have been waiting for. This is the change we have been dreading ever since the Holocaust. You can’t shout “Never again” and then close your eyes when antisemitic hate rears its ugly head, yet again.
