Who’s in charge?

Trump? Netanyahu?

Who is running things? Who is making the decisions?

Who is calling the shots?

When it comes to Gaza and Iran, who is running things?

Reminds me of a joke. A husband says, “I’m the boss in this house, and I have my wife’s permission to say so.”

The U.S. is conducting talks with Hamas and Iran. But when you pay close attention to reports, it seems that Israel is running the show.

According to an Axios report, Qatar’s prime minister came to Washington three weeks ago, wanting to promote a deal that would end the war. The U.S. replied that a short-term truce is the only option.

Clearly this is due to Israel’s insistence that the war not end. Netanyahu knows that if he ends the war before defeating Hamas, then Smotrich and Ben Gvir will leave the coalition and the government will fall.

So Smotrich and Ben Gvir, two cabinet ministers who  wear head-covering to signify their awareness that G-d is above them, are running things.

Smotrich and Ben Gvir are cognizant of the danger of ending the war. They know that the way to defend Israel is to defeat the enemy, and to not give away any land.

When it comes to Iran, Netanyahu has shown over the years, and now too, that stopping Iran’s enrichment of uranium is crucial for Israel’s security. So although Witkoff at first talked about allowing Iran to do some enrichment, he later changed his tune.

Because Netanyahu said no, and Trump realizes that if Israel is not on board with the deal, then Israel can just go and bomb Iran.

So here too, when it comes to Iran, Israel seems to be clearly in charge.

No ending of the war in Gaza until Hamas is completely defeated. No allowing Iran to enrich uranium.

Because Israel is in charge.

In the book of Daniel, chapter seven, Daniel has a night vision, in which he sees that there will come a time when the nation of high holy ones will be given the rulership and dominion over all kingdoms, and all kingdoms will obey and serve them.

Daniel had many visions about the times of Redemption.

Perhaps what we are seeing now, as Israel runs the world, and the Almighty performs so many miracles protecting the Jewish nation, is an indication that Redemption with Moshiach is close.
