Why do you always feel pressure to prove yourself?
You may feel trapped inside a never-ending race.
You may feel pressure to:
succeed more,
earn more,
accomplish more and
gain the approval of others.
The modern world often teaches you
that your value depends
on your achievements.
But Torah teaches you something very different.
Your value does not come
from constantly proving yourself.
Your value comes from the fact
that HaShem created you
with a unique soul and purpose.
Pirkei Avos (1: 14) teaches:
“When I am for only myself,
what am I?”
When you live only
for status, recognition and approval
you rarely experience inner peace.
The constant pressure
creates:
anxiety,
jealousy,
frustration and
exhaustion.
Sometimes you become so focused
on how others see you
that you lose connection
to your real self.
Real emotional strength
is when you begin living
with greater simplicity and self-acceptance.
You will no longer need
to constantly compare yourself
to everyone around you.
You stop measuring your life
according to external measures such as
status, money and achievements.
Instead, you begin asking:
Am I growing?
Am I becoming closer to HaShem?
Am I living with greater purpose?
The more you connect to your true self,
the calmer and happier
your life becomes!
