Why the Western media are responsible for the Gaza war

Hamas would never have launched the current war and perpetuated the October 7 massacre had it not known that it would have the support of Western media outlets such as the BBC, CNN and the Associated Press, among others.

This suppor consists of the knowledge that the world media would devote full-time and massive coverage of the war and that its reporting would be slanted towards Hamas. Moreover, many of the supposedly objective journalists reporting for Western — not to mention Arab news outlets — are clearly biased towards Hamas.

While reading a recent CNN article by an Arab correspondent I noticed that Hamas was no longer the terrorist organisation which burns babies alive, rapes women and mutilates their bodies, gleefully boasting of this afterwards. Hamas is no longer the organisation which hangs  gays, supports the Taliban and Russia. They are no longer the terrorists who say to the Israelis that what we will do to you will make Hitler look like a joke.

According to CNN their statements are to be treated with the same level of respectability as US President Biden’s.

Hamas’s statements to its own people and to Israel are not reported, nor are its deeds. Hamas’s reporter allies only write or speak about its denials and make it seem like a moderate liberation organisation.

The War of the Babies

During the last Gaza war Western media, among others, devoted massive coverage to the deaths of dozens of children, whereas the deaths of tens of thousands of children in Syria, Iraq and Yemen did not even receive a hundredth of the coverage. Hamas learned that in a future war they only had to wait for world opinion to turn as their journalist allies massively covered the deaths of babies at the hands of the Jews. The fact that Hamas was responsible for their deaths because they hide behind children and kill them themselves with their misfired rockets is glossed over by most Western media.

International tribunal of journalistic culpability

Israel and world Jewry must demand that journalists and media outlets be held accountable for biased coverage by an international tribunal. This biased coverage is responsible for war mongering and an attempt to gain sympathy for terrorist deeds. If Hamas had not known from the outset that it could rely on the sympathy of the Western media, it would never had launched the attack of October 7.
