Wisdom of Experience From Living Waters

Wisdom of Experience From Living Waters

(Reflections on Parsha Masei)

(Jeremiah 2 :4-28; 4 :1-2)

Wisdom of experience from living waters

Beckons us lest we forget knowledge bestowed

Through the chronology of time and space.

Yet, over and over again, we lose ourselves

To empty vicissitudes, lured by base desires,

Neglecting identity and mission,

Foregoing unity and combined strength.

We pause destined history for misery.

When will our awaited heritage be reclaimed?

When the taste of pure transcendent waters

Is received to quench the abiding thirst,

Never quenched, although transparent waters

Reflect who we could become, if

We only saw ourselves as who we could be.
