Without true diplomacy, support for democracy dies, especially in the Mid-East
בסייד
Since Israel was born in 1948, it remains the only Middle Eastern democracy. We are surrounded by many countries and many people who live in those counties who must be envious of what Israel has accomplished during its short history.
Former President Trump finally made a breakthrough by helping to bring some of Israel’s neighbors to the “peace table” which resulted in the Abraham Accords. This marked the first public normalization of relations between an Arab country and Israel since that of Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
Israel has never been able to rest because of the constant threat it has faced from its Arab neighbors. But now it is our Palestinian neighbors who are the real problem. At any time, we can come under Gaza rocket fire. Terrorists are constantly trying to attack our men and women soldiers and police. And the world does not seem to care.
The Positive Effects From The Abraham Accords Are Quickly Fading Away
There is no doubt that President Joe Biden’s major delay phoning Bibi after he took office was a good indicator of what to expect when it comes to his administration’s support for Israel. The fact he served as Vice President under Obama was proof enough that there is a rocky road ahead regarding relations with the Jewish State.
Diplomacy – Definition – Wikipedia
Diplomacy is the practice of influencing the decisions and conduct of foreign governments or organizations through dialogue, negotiation, and other nonviolent means.
Joe Biden has done nothing to push for additional progress.
But Let’s Not Forget A Key Section From Biden’s Inauguration Speech
“The story that tells ages yet to come that we answered the call of history. We met the moment. That democracy and hope, truth and justice, did not die on our watch but thrived. That our America secured liberty at home and stood once again as a beacon to the world. That is what we owe our forebears, one another, and generations to follow”.
It Appears The President Forgot What He Said
Based on the sentence:
That democracy and hope, truth and justice, did not die on our watch but thrived Perhaps he feels that is true elsewhere, but it is most definitely false regarding Israel.
