‘You did good’

Compliment someone, and watch them shine.

When someone does something good, and you say, “You did a good thing,” it inspires that person to do more good things.

And it can change the world.

I remember reading about a teacher in Mexico who was running a program for youth in the afternoon. But he felt that he wasn’t really accomplishing much.

One time he was in New York, and he visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe and told him how he felt.

The Rebbe told him that when you interact with someone, it’s not a ripple effect. It’s nuclear.

When one person does one Mitzvah, one good deed, it creates a nuclear effect which can beneficially change the whole world.

Because that person will influence others, and they in turn will influence others, and so on.

Praise someone who does something good. It will motivate that person to do more good things, and to influence others to do good. And watch the world shine.
