A Child is Born, A Miracle is Declared

(Reflection on Torah Portion Nasso)

(Judges 13:12-25)

A child is born, a miracle is declared;

If only all parents saw it as such.

The child’s potential bears blossoms when nurtured,

With life-waters sowing encouragement,

Strength, bearing branches from a trunk.

The hope and prayer of a nation realizes

Continuous fulfillment in its children.

The tended garden of humanity

Seeds through its guarantors’ lives future,

The treasured values endowed in its children

Launch each for internal and external challenges.

The love and care, egolessly bestowed

Gives spiritual nourishment to thought, word and deed.
