A Jewish state?
President Macron (France) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are spearheading a UN resolution explicitly supporting the “right of return” of millions of Palestinians to Israel proper, within its pre-June 1967 borders, as the way to end the Arab-Israeli conflict. The UN resolution they are co-sponsoring constitutes de facto a 2-step implementation of a phased violent elimination of the Jewish state. First step, the creation of a free-of-Jews Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem; followed by a second step: the implementation of the so-called “right of return” of millions of Palestinians to the state of Israel. (See the UNGA Resolution 79/81 from December 10, 2024, paragraph 15c, and the subsequent New York Declaration from July 29, 2025, paragraph 14, jointly issued by France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
President Biden (USA) sharply defined the essence of the Arab-Israeli conflict, when he said in May 2021: “Let us get something straight here. Until the region says unequivocally that they acknowledge the right of Israel to exist as an independent Jewish state, there will be no peace.”
These are two opposite and irreconcilable positions. This is not an innocuous philosophical discussion: It led in the past to repeated wars. It led to the present war.
I urge you to reject the France-Saudi Arabia proposal and to support instead the 242 United Nations Security Council resolution from November 1967 as the basis for the peaceful solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
For details about these opposing positions, and the 242-based resolution of the conflict, I refer you to my book “The root of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the path to peace” (September 2025 edition). The book can be downloaded for free from the ResearchGate website:
