A justified barring

Omar and Tlaib are no peacemakers; they wanted to go to Israel to confirm their own biases, and Netanyahu was quite right to deny them the opportunity

That didn’t take long.

As soon as Israel decided to bar the rabidly anti-Israel Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from visiting the country, unwarranted hysterics and blind outrage swiftly followed. Countless Democratic politicians issued statements of disapproval, and Ilhan Omar had the gall to claim that Israel was instituting a “Muslim ban.” And while it quite annoying to watch these politicians whine, scream and pound their hands on the floor like petulant children, the decision was indeed justified and wise.

Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar are no friends of Israel. For quite some time now, both have openly voiced their hostilities towards Israel and the Jewish people. Tlaib began her congressional career by superimposing a note with the name “Palestine” on top of Israel on a map in her office. She has also met with several individuals that have openly praised Hamas and Hezbollah. Ilhan Omar is no better, claiming that Jews use money to buy support for Israel. It is also important to remember that Omar has been the source of several anti-Semitic gaffes that have shocked the halls of Congress. These two are no peacemakers. They wanted to go to Israel in order to confirm their own biases. And Prime Minister Netanyahu was quite right when he decided to deny them this opportunity.

I must admit that the Democrats who are rushing to attack Israel are quite ridiculous. Some of these lawmakers, like Senator Schumer and Representative Nadler, are Jewish. And yet without an ounce of shame they rush to defend those that hate the Jewish people. These are the same Jewish hypocrites that have granted these venomous individuals free rein in Washington, DC. Their commentary on this matter should be fully ignored, as they lost all credibility due to the fact that they continue to allow Tlaib and Omar to spout nonsense unopposed.

It is also important to challenge the ridiculous statement made by Ilhan Omar. No, Israel is not enforcing a ‘Muslim ban’. Israel is simply banning extremists and fanatics that wish her ill will. It is abundantly clear that Omar has no idea of what she is talking about as it is very easy to find countless examples of Muslims visiting Israel. Within the last several months, quite a few well known Muslims visited Israel in the hopes of building bridges of peace and cooperation. Saudi blogger Mohammad Saud toured the country with an open mind and an open heart. Sarah Idan, a former Miss Iraq, likewise visited the country to show that Arabs and Jews need not fight one another. And a group of Muslims from the United Kingdom visited a few weeks ago, with the stated aim of multi faith dialogue.

Notice the difference? Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib spew venom and bile wherever they go. They did not want to go to Israel to build peace and understanding. No, they wanted an opportunity to further insult the country. Their hearts are full of malice, not love. The people mentioned above, however, came to the country with olive branches in their hands. They came to talk, they came to listen, they came to build a better world. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar should take pages from these people’s book. Then perhaps they could actually participate in the process of ending the strife in the Middle East. At the current time, however, their presence would only further exacerbate tensions.
