A Nation In Trauma
The long-term effects of October 7th on the Israeli population are yet to be determined. But one thing for sure is that in the short term the nation was traumatized.
As a Medical Director of Magen David Adom for over 20 years, I have witnessed people traumatized in terrorist attacks and auto accidents. Still, it didn’t affect the entire nation at once.
As a physician in private practice, I used cognitive therapy to treat different kinds of trauma. Cognitive therapy is probably the best we have for PTSD – for soldiers and civilians affected by the war.
But now I have a new role – education to heal trauma.
EXTREME TRAUMA is a recently released book currently on Amazon that not only documents the horrific trauma of October 7th, including the psychopathology of Hamas behaviors, but it identifies the “silver lining“ in the incredible Israeli resilience and dares to offer a message of hope – that through new found unity Israel and the Jewish people will survive and thrive.
