A new understanding of the U.S. – Israel relationship
The Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation is proud to support AIPAC’s Campus Allies Mission, which brings non-Jewish, pro-Israel political activists to Israel for the first time. Participants learn about the importance of the relationship between the United States and Israel and gain a deeper understanding of Israel’s strategic, social, and security issues, right in the heart of the Holy Land.
Brian Rose, one of our Campus Allies alumni, has shared how the Campus Allies Mission has impacted his life. You can read his post below.
Taking part in the AIPAC trip to Israel in May 2012 meant the world to me. I was always a believer in the importance of the US-Israel friendship, but 10 days in Israel deepened my commitment to the relationship.
I think its fitting that during a trip meant to crystallize my understanding of the US-Israel friendship, I also came away with so many new friends, both Israeli and American. This is a group of people who I continue to stay in touch with, and who continue to shape my ideas about the world.
Not a day passes when I don’t reflect upon the outstanding moments and lessons I experienced in Israel — they continue to prove useful in my professional life working at DDC Public Affairs, a public affairs and advocacy firm located in Washington DC.
I am eternally thankful to AIPAC, the Milstein family, everyone else who made my trip to Israel possible.
