A Strong Israel Is America’s Smartest Investment

Innovative, disciplined, and decisive—Israel’s battlefield success is a strategic asset America can’t afford to ignore.

In a region often defined by chaos and failure, Israel has done something extraordinary: it has achieved measurable, disciplined success in the face of existential threats. In the wake of the October 7 massacre—an act of terror designed to break Israel’s spirit and paralyze its institutions—Israel responded with clarity, unity, and strategic brilliance. It didn’t collapse. It recalibrated, adapted, and prevailed. And in doing so, it delivered not just for its own citizens, but for the free world.

Israel’s campaign against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian proxy forces has been more than reactive—it’s been transformational. In the south, Israel dismantled much of Hamas’s military infrastructure, eliminated senior commanders, exposed a vast underground terror network, and reclaimed border control without triggering a full regional war. In the north, it has held the line against Hezbollah aggression, pushing back Iran’s efforts to open a second front. In the Red Sea, in coordination with Western allies, Israeli intelligence and defense systems have helped neutralize Houthi missile and drone threats targeting global shipping routes.

This is not just a win for Israel—it’s a win for the West. Israel’s operational success has disrupted Iran’s strategy of regional domination, which relied on using terror proxies to destabilize democratic allies, sow fear in Western capitals, and test the resolve of NATO-aligned powers. Every Iranian weapons convoy destroyed in Syria, every terror tunnel neutralized in Gaza, every Iranian proxy network weakened in Lebanon is a direct reduction in the global threat matrix confronting the United States and its allies.

Perhaps most strikingly, Israel has accomplished this with extraordinary restraint and technological precision—despite facing an enemy that hides behind civilians and uses children as shields. From drone swarms to cyber operations, subterranean warfare to hostage recovery missions, Israel’s tactics are already being studied in Western war colleges. Its battlefield innovation—combined with moral discipline under extreme duress—has redefined what 21st-century counterterrorism looks like. This is not just military effectiveness; it is moral leadership in modern warfare.

The United States benefits enormously from Israel’s success. Every terror plot disrupted by Israeli intelligence saves lives far beyond the region. Every advancement in missile defense technology, developed jointly with the US, strengthens American and NATO capabilities. Every Israeli operation that weakens Iran’s military footprint lowers the likelihood that American troops will be drawn into another ground war in the Middle East.

Critically, this is not an alliance of dependency—it’s an alliance of strength. Israel doesn’t ask America to fight its battles. It fields its own army, funds its own defense, and sends its own sons and daughters to confront the frontline threats of global jihadism. What it asks of America is strategic alignment, not charity. Support for Israel is not a favor to a vulnerable ally—it’s a smart investment in a proven, capable force for regional and global stability.

At a time when America faces threats from Russia, China, and an increasingly emboldened Iran, it cannot afford to abandon the ally that has done more than any other to disrupt enemy momentum. Israel has shown what courage, clarity, and capability look like in a time of moral confusion. It has reminded the world that strength and decency can coexist—and that freedom can still be defended.

In backing Israel, America isn’t just standing with a friend. It is standing with an ally whose success benefits the United States strategic interests.
