Antisemites lost
They started off, right after October 7 two years ago, with enthusiastic displays of hate. There were encampments on college campuses, and protesters intimidated Jewish students and teachers. Social and mainstream media tried to paint Israelis as villains. World leaders condemned Israel and demanded that they stop the war against Hamas.
It didn’t matter that historically, when Western countries were attacked, they defended themselves by fighting their enemies, even when civilians were killed in the process. The West did this in numerous wars, from the World Wars, to the war against Afghanistan, and the wars in between. Yet they told Israel to turn the other cheek. Israel was told to be merciful.
But then, to everyone’s astonishment, Israel didn’t stop. And miraculously Israel defeated all its enemies.
On college campuses, Trump clamped down against antisemitism. And European leaders also clamped down.
Unexpectedly, Qatar, Turkey and other world leaders joined Trump in forcing Hamas to release the remaining living hostages.
With every blow to Israel’s enemies, the antisemites saw that they had lost their war against the Jews. They realized that the Almighty is fighting for Israel.
Everything happens by Divine providence. The display of antisemitism awakened Jewish hearts to their heritage.
The world is becoming, more and more, a place where everyone sees that G-d is present, and that He conducts everything.
The future looks bright. Redemption seems close, a time when the entire world “will be filled with an awareness of G-d, just as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11; 9)
May it happen very soon.
