Arab Shift, West Betrayal: Israel Holds On
Arab Shift, West Betrayal: Israel Holds On
On October 7, 2023, Israel faced one of the darkest days in its modern history. Hamas terrorists stormed across the border, murdering over 1,200 Israelis: babies, children, women, the elderly, slaughtered in their homes, in the streets, even at a music festival. Entire families were wiped out. Hundreds were dragged into Gaza as hostages. This was not “resistance.” This was barbarism, pure, unambiguous terrorism.
In those first days, much of the world saw it for what it was.
The Nations That Stood Tall After October 7
- The United States immediately reaffirmed its “ironclad” commitment. Washington fast-tracked advanced military aid and backed Israel in every major international forum.
- Canada authorized exports of bombs, rockets, and munitions to ensure Israel could defend itself.
- Germany declared unwavering solidarity, recognizing Israel’s right to eliminate Hamas once and for all.
- India condemned the attack without hesitation, deepening strategic and security ties.
- Czech Republic & Hungary became Israel’s loudest voices in Europe, resisting calls for premature ceasefires.
For a brief moment, morality seemed clear: a democratic nation was attacked by an internationally recognized terror group, and the free world stood with Israel.
The Inevitable Fade of Moral Courage
But moral clarity is fragile. By early 2024, the predictable chorus began: “proportionality,” “restraint,” “humanitarian pauses.” The media’s obsession with Pallywood, Hamas’s propaganda machine, started to shift public opinion. Nations that had once sworn loyalty began flirting with dangerous political games.
- France moved from strong ally to dangerous appeaser. In April 2025, Macron announced plans to recognize a Palestinian state, and by July he confirmed it would happen at the UN General Assembly in September 2025. In effect, Paris decided to reward Hamas’s terror with diplomatic legitimacy.
- United Kingdom, under its new Labour government, began parroting “two-state solution” slogans while preparing to follow France’s lead.
- Germany, under mounting domestic pressure, paused arms shipments in August 2025, sending the wrong signal at the wrong time.
- And then came Australia, once a friend, now turning its back. In September 2025, Canberra plans to recognize “Palestine,” knowing full well that Gaza remains under Hamas control. That’s not diplomacy. That’s backstabbing.
The Nations Still Standing Firm
Even in this climate of moral erosion, some allies remain steadfast:
- United States: Military, diplomatic, and moral support continues. The alliance is unshaken.
- India: Relations are stronger than ever. In May 2025, Israel publicly backed India’s anti-terror strikes, cementing a shared fight against extremism.
- Argentina: President Javier Milei launched the “Isaac Accords” to deepen Israel–Latin America ties, bringing Uruguay, Panama, and Costa Rica closer to Jerusalem.
- Czech Republic, Hungary, and several Eastern European states : Still willing to speak uncomfortable truths in Brussels.
These are countries that understand: Hamas is not a “partner for peace.” It is a cancer that must be eradicated.
A Twist No One Saw Coming: The Arab Condemnation
In 2025, something remarkable happened. From within the Arab world, voices emerged condemning Hamas. At the UN in July 2025, Saudi Arabia and others supported a declaration, backed by Indonesia and France, that Hamas must relinquish control of Gaza.
For decades, Arab leaders have been pressured to defend the Palestinian leadership no matter what. But now, some are daring to say openly what many have whispered privately: Hamas is a liability, not a liberation movement.
This shift is not yet a peace treaty. But it is a crack in the wall of automatic hostility. And Israel must seize that opening.
Why Recognition Now Is Moral Suicide
France, the UK, and Australia claim they’re “advancing peace” by recognizing Palestine in 2025. But let’s be brutally honest:
- Gaza is run by Hamas, an internationally designated terrorist organization.
- The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank is corrupt, undemocratic, and unable to hold free elections.
- Recognizing “Palestine” now is not a gift to the Palestinian people, it’s a gift to Hamas.
It tells every terrorist group in the world: slaughter civilians, take hostages, and the world will reward you with a flag at the UN.
Israel’s Path Forward
Israel has been betrayed before, by allies, by the UN, even by supposed “friends” in the West. Yet Israel survives because it does not pin its existence on the approval of others.
In 2025, despite the diplomatic knives in its back, Israel has:
- Strategic military partnerships that remain strong.
- Growing support in Latin America.
- A surprising shift in parts of the Arab world against Hamas.
The lesson? Israel must stay the course. It must keep speaking the truth about Hamas, keep building alliances where others thought impossible, and refuse to be cornered into a peace process that rewards terror.
Because in the end, Israel’s survival is not about who stands with it when times are easy. It’s about who stands when the rockets fall, the lies spread, and the pressure mounts.
And as long as Israel remembers that, it will not just survive, it will win!
