Are Europeans Funding Israel-Hating Propaganda?

Something is rotten in Europe — and it is not confined to the marble halls of parliaments or the gilded corridors of palaces. The rot festers in the newsrooms — in the propaganda engines masquerading as “public broadcasting.”

From London to Berlin to Madrid, ordinary citizens are forced to underwrite — through taxes and compulsory fees — the very institutions that despise their values and vilify Israel, the only authentic democracy in a sea of autocracies.

Year after year, billions of pounds and euros from public coffers flow to so-called “state broadcasters” that no longer report the news but instead wage ideological warfare.

BBC. Deutsche Welle. RTVE. These are not newsrooms; they are activist cellars, pumping out narratives that would make Al Jazeera blush with envy.

Let’s start with the BBC.

Once revered as the gold standard of impartial journalism, today it de factooperates as the “British wing of Hamas’s press office.”

After the October 7th, 2023 massacre, when Israelis were genocidally butchered, the BBC refused to call Hamas “terrorists” — because, apparently, doing so would compromise “impartiality.”

Yet it never hesitated to label Israeli retaliatory airstrikes as “massacres,” “excessive,” or “disproportionate.” Its correspondents shed crocodile tears for Gaza while tiptoeing around or ignoring the slaughter of Jews.

And now — on Friday — Britain’s media regulator formally sanctioned the BBC for a “materially misleading” documentary on the lives of children in Gaza because it failed to disclose that the teen narrator’s father held a position in the Hamas administration.

Thus, a public service broadcaster found guilty of deceiving its audience is a scandal that should shake every pillar of the BBC.

Sadly, viewers who pay the mandatory £169 TV license are unknowingly bankrolling this moral inversion — where self-defense becomes “aggression,” and terrorism becomes “resistance.”

Next: Deutsche Welle — Germany’s tax-financed propaganda mill masquerading as a reputable news network.

Today, Berlin’s official policy is crystal clear: Germany stands by Israel’s right to exist and defend itself. However, it seems that the memo never reached DW’s Arabic section.

In fact, DW’s Arabic department has repeatedly broadcast anti-Israel conspiracy theories and antisemitic content, even praising the very terror the German government claims to oppose.

In 2021, DW suspended several of its own journalists for glorifying Hitler and Hamas online. But in true bureaucratic fashion, some quietly returned to their desks months later — as though nothing had ever happened.

Ironically, DW provides ideological ammunition to Israel’s enemies, all while the German taxpayer foots the bill.

Spain’s RTVE completes this ‘unholy trinity.’

In ‘Sefarad’, Spanish citizens struggling to put food on the table are forced to subsidize a broadcaster that parrots the rhetoric of ‘Podemos’ and the other far-left factions.

RTVE’s coverage of Israel is a caricature: entire segments about Gaza air without a single Israeli voice, while Hamas apologists like “Barbie Gaza” — who has claimed that October 7th was a “hoax” and mocked an Israeli hostage for “feeling ugly because the terrorists had not done anything to her (in other words, the Israeli female hostage felt bad for not being raped…)” — are given airtime.

When pro-Hamas rallies choke Madrid’s streets, RTVE calls them “peace marches.” When Jews in Spain face threats, RTVE talks about “both sides” — as though Jews are ever the aggressors and Israel merely “a colonial project.”

This is not journalism. This is ideological warfare — funded by the very people it betrays.

Across Europe, public broadcasting has become the cathedral of the woke media — where every anti-Western cause is sanctified, and every Israeli act of self-defense is condemned as a sin.

They preach “inclusion” and “diversity,” yet silence Jewish voices.

They lecture about “truth,” while amplifying terror propaganda.

They claim to serve the “public interest,” while mocking the moral foundations that once made Europe prosperous.

Make no mistake: the problem is not underfunding — it is a total collapse of editorial integrity. Europeans are not paying for news anymore; they are paying for sermons that demonize Israel, normalize jihad, and blame the West for every catastrophe.

In my opinion, if the BBC, DW, and RTVE wish to become ideological NGOs, fine — but let them live or die on donations, like any partisan foundation. No free citizen should be coerced into financing propaganda that legitimizes terror and normalizes antisemitism.

Europe once paid the price for silence. Once again, its public institutions are turning their backs on Israel — the Jewish state reborn from the ashes of that silence.

This time, however, the betrayal comes with a receipt — a license fee, a taxpayer record, and now, a sanction from Britain’s media regulator.
