And the list goes on and on.

I have read statements from some rabbis advocating voting for such a person.

I ask you, isn’t advocating voting for someone who exhibits values that are disvalued by G-d, advocating Jews to vote against G-d’s values?

I ask you, isn’t advocating voting for someone who exhibits values that are disvalued by G-d, advocating Jews to forsake G-d’s values?

You may say that one needs to take into account a person’s religious values i.e. concerning abortion etc.

But character and moral values take precedence over religious values.

Why? Because they determine most of the world’s religious values.

Look what non-Jews have to say.

Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, told reporters after spending a half-hour with the president.

“The West needs to concentrate on “values . . . not just interests.”

“Values and principles first, this is what we – Europe and America – should be saying.”

Brent Swander, an Ohio-based operative who has coordinated nationwide logistics for Republican presidential campaigns dating to George W. Bush.

“Everything that we’re taught as children — not to bully, not to demean, to treat others with respect — everything we’re taught as children is the exact opposite of what the Republican nominee is doing. How do you work for somebody like that? What would I tell my family?” Swander said.

I ask you aren’t some rabbis teaching us to concentrate on our interests and not on our values?

I ask you aren’t some rabbis teaching our children to behave contrary to G-d’s values?

You may not want to vote for the other candidate. OK.

So then G-d says, “don’t vote!” Please don’t forsake my values.
